When Yamaket was a subset of the 1-day fan-run Torilozi convention, it was held in this building located in a Tokyo suburb. Now that it’s an independent convention, it returned to the same space. The image at left places Yamato overhead in a clever use of the photo frame offered at the start of the year by the production committee.

Indoor decor includes the new logo, designed and rendered by Michio Murakawa.

The program book included a room layout displaying the largest ever gathering of fan circles at a Yamaket, occupying 60 tables.

As the day progressed, sketches were added to the two customary whiteboards.

One of the first sights upon entering the room was an array of original fan art to be won in a lottery.

Thanks to the organizational skills of this event’s organizer “Kiyo Club” (Kiyohito Toshiyama) it was possible to organize all these photos by table numbers. Thus, we can take a virtual walk through almost the entire room (not counting those who did not post photos of their table, of course).

Click on the fan circle names to visit the artist’s Twitter page. If you regularly peruse our monthly fan art galleries, you’ll recognize many of them.

After the event, a few fans posted these photos of the overwhelming amount of doujinshis they’d brought home. This number easily rivals anything seen in Yamato history…
