Skytree popup shop, July 29-August 4, 2026

The artwork originally created by Kia Asamiya as a teaser for Chapter 6 gained a new purpose as the signature image for the popup shop at Solamachi, a shopping mall at the base of the Tokyo Skytree.

While in the vicinity, fans scouted the exact position of the teaser image and recorded it for posterity (these pics posted by Desutoria2191)

The 1/100 Yamato display model, always a crowd pleaser, was installed near checkout.

Pulling backward from the big model (visible in center frame), we find the merch on the left and displays on the right.

These were derived from the social media images posted by the Yamato Production Committee in June as Chapter 6 got closer.

Just past them were poster images of the pictures themselves, which (like Asamiya’s poster) formed the basis for a lot of the merch being sold here.

The overall concept (tying in with Chapter 6) was, “What if characters from 3199 visited Tokyo in 2026?”

Multiple shelves, racks, and bins! How do we sort through it all?

Some of it had been seen before, sold in theater gift shops during Chapter 6’s tenure.

Some of it also went back to previous chapters, leftover goodies still looking for a home.

The new stuff was easily identified by matching it up to the art displays. This table offered a print of Asamiya’s poster, available for preorder through the A-on Store.

Next to that (look closely) was a pair of “pullback” Yamato toys, the type you pull backward to start up a friction motor.

These are also A-on Store products, displayed here for preorder. Release date TBD.

Now let’s check out the new stuff you could actually buy on the spot, starting from the top…

Acrylic standees (characters), acrylic panels (scenes)
Acrylic Yamato standee, other character standees
“Photo” keyholders and “photo” collections (stills from previous chapters)
