This story is a science-fiction tale depicting the love and adventures of young people who try to save humanity from the brink of annihilation caused by an attack from space.
The strategy of Gamilas
Space Battleship Yamato had to reach Iscandar as quickly as possible, and bring back the device to remove the radiation from Earth. However, the Gamilas attacks were preventing them from making progress as they’d hoped. Inside Yamato, there was a debate between those who wanted to defeat the Gamilas on Pluto and those who wanted to reach Iscandar as quickly as possible.
“We’ll be passing near Pluto soon. What should we do?” Kodai asked Captain Okita.
“We’ll try to avoid fighting as much as possible.”
“But captain, the reason Earth ended up like that is because there is a Gamilas base on Pluto.”
Around that time, a plan to blow up Yamato was being put into motion at the Gamilas base on Pluto.
“First, we’ll send out our fleet and attack Yamato. That way, Yamato will have no choice, but to fight back and pursue us. Then we’ll fire our secret weapon, the reflector satellite cannon, and blow up Yamato.“
Run away, Yamato
“Oh, it’s the Gamilas.”
Seeing the radar, Kodai cried out, “we must fight after all.”
Inside Yamato, an emergency alarm blared, and the space warriors each ran to their respective posts.
The Gamilas space fleet attacked. Yamato retaliated by firing its main guns. The Gamilas space fleet gradually retreated. This was part of their plan, but Yamato pursued them, unaware. Shulz of the Gamilas was in high spirits because the operation had gone well.
“OK, fire a missile around here so they don’t give up. Yamato will get angry and charge in. That’s when we’ll fire the reflector satellite cannon. Save up your energy.”
Light energy was rapidly accumulating in the reflector satellite cannon hidden beneath the vast ice field of Pluto.
After destroying the Gamilas missiles, Yamato charged in to destroy the Pluto base, unaware of the plan.
“All right, let’s launch a rocket anchor at a nearby moon to stop Yamato and attack.”
On Captain Okita’s orders, the rocket anchor was launched from Yamato and hit a nearby moon. Yamato finally came to a halt behind the Gamilas base.
“OK, it will be hard for them to fire missiles at us. This time, we’ll fire our missiles at them.”

It was time. From a satellite far above Yamato, a reflector emerged and opened, ready to reflect a shot from the cannon beneath the vast ice field of Pluto. As light burst forth, the vast ice field instantly transformed into a sea, then back into an ice field again.

Yamato’s crew was astonished. The flash of light hit the reflector satellite, changed direction, and then struck Yamato.

“We’ll descend into the ocean of Pluto and then attack from there.”
Following Captain Okita’s orders, Shima desperately moved the ship toward the ocean of Pluto. Once again, the light burst from the water, hit the reflector satellite, then hit Yamato.
“Ha ha ha! Serves you right, Yamato. Our reflector satellite cannon can shoot down the enemy, no matter where they are.”
“Commander Shulz, Yamato is falling into the sea.”
“All right, let’s finish them off with our space battleships.”
From the Gamilas base on Pluto, space battleships were launched one after another. Once Yamato descended into the sea, it dove underwater to escape the Gamilas attack.
The overturned Yamato

However, Gamilas ships swarmed in and fired torpedoes.

“Fill the starboard water tank with water.”
When water was poured into the tank on the right side of Yamato, the weight caused the ship to gradually tilt, and eventually it tipped over.
