This story is a science-fiction tale depicting the love and adventures of young people who try to save humanity from the brink of annihilation caused by an attack from space.

Save humanity from this great crisis!
It began on a day in October of the year 2199. The Planet Gamilas, which has been destroying planets one after another in the universe, launched planet bombs targeting Earth. The Earth was scorched red, mountains crumbled, and the ocean water evaporated. And the radiation from the planet bombs gradually seeped underground.
At that time, humanity had built cities underground to defend against the attacks of the Gamilas. However, since the radiation was seeping into the ground, if they left things as they were, humanity would be wiped out within a year.
How could humanity be saved? That was something human science couldn’t solve with its current capabilities.
Then one day a woman named Sasha, who arrived in a spaceship from the planet Iscandar, died after delivering a message telling them to come in retrieve Cosmo Cleaner, a device which could neutralize radiation.
Susumu Kodai, Daisuke Shima, Yuki Mori
If they could eliminate the radiation, humanity would be saved. However, the planet Iscandar was far away. At normal speeds, it would take 296,000 years.
“That’s it! Let’s revive the battleship Yamato, which sank in the war long ago, as a messenger of peace.”
Juzo Okita of the Earth Defense Force decided to select the most capable crew members and send them to Iscandar.
“Susumu Kodai, when the Gamilas interfere, you will take charge of Yamato’s battle.”
He was a boy who always had the best grades at the space warrior training school.
“Daisuke Shima, you will be in charge of Yamato‘s navigation.”
He was also at the training school with Kodai. While Kodai was a natural genius, Shima was a boy who achieved success through hard work.
“Yuki Mori, you’ll take care of everything related to the crew’s daily lives.”
She was the most beautiful girl at the training school. No, not just beautiful, also intelligent and a very kind person.
“Oh, Captain Okita, please take me with you too. I’m Analyzer, the all-purpose robot.”
Even a really tough one had shown up.
Patience, and battle
Something seemed off about Yamato. A massive fleet descended from the Gamilas observation post on the planet Pluto. Missiles came flying at Yamato one after another.
“Captain Okita, at this rate, Yamato will be destroyed before it can be reborn as a space battleship. Please let us fight!”
“Wait, be patient until Yamato is completely finished.”
Not only Kodai, but everyone aboard the Space Battleship Yamato was gritting their teeth.
“Yamato has completed all its operations.”
As soon as that voice came from the speaker, they began preparing to fight the Gamilas.
“Now, let’s blow those guys away. Then we’ll head to Iscandar to get the Cosmo Cleaner, which will eliminate the radiation.”
Upon receiving captain Okita’s order, Kodai targeted the enemy command ship
“Fire the main guns!”
Space Battleship Yamato appears!
Kaboom, bang, bang, bang! With that, a ball of light shot out, and the Gamilas fleet all fled at once. The crew of Yamato was overjoyed.
“We did it! We did it!”
“Now, no matter how difficult things get from here on out, we must go to Iscandar and come back within a year,” Captain Okita told the crew.
“Launch!”
Shima started Yamato. When the shell of the old battleship was removed, a new space battleship emerged from within.
“Do your best. Make sure we get the Cosmo Cleaner and restore Earth to its beautiful state.”
The people of Earth watched the Space Battleship Yamato depart, praying for its safe return.
