From mid-December through early January, the Yamato 2202 promotional engine picked up more power with new interviews, new trailers, new artwork, and new announcements that arrived on a weekly (occasionally daily) basis as the February 25 launch got another month closer.

Fresh news arrived in early October 2016 and the “Road to Yamato 2202” promotional campaign got rolling in the latter half of November. Here are the collected events of that period, all the way into early December.
The Battlefield Infinity mobile game is still the focal point of Yamato 2199 activity, but visibility for 2199 itself is increasing as the Yamato 2202 promotional train gets underway. The month also brought us the unexpected return of the 2199 manga and some more glimpses of products to come in 2017.

Yamato 2199 activity continued its steady decline into the month of August 2016, which is an inevitable sign of both age and the rise of Yamato 2202. Nevertheless, seeds that were planted last year continue to bloom this year in the form of online activity along with the biannual boost of new doujinshis at Comiket.
One Man’s War

From Ship’s Log #14: Nobuyoshi Habara’s first interview in his capacity as the supervising director of Yamato 2202, in which he discusses his work on Resurrection and 2199, his time as a fan watching Yamato on TV, and his intentions for the new series.
Despite a slight drop in activity, Yamato 2199 shows no signs of stopping. In July 2016, the Battlefield Infinity mobile game got a big upgrade, surprising new products were announced, the NTT side story came back from hiatus, and fans did their part to fuel the fire.
News has been thin since Report 1 was published in April, but equally exciting with steady announcements of returning champions to the production staff. A new issue of Ship’s Log boosted the volume again at the end of June, and fans have been running wild with their own contributions.
