REBEL 3199 Chapter 7 final trailer breakdown

All guns blazing! This is an apt theme for the last 3199 trailer before Chapter 7 premieres. While Yamato orbits what appears to be Planet Earth in 2026, the partisan forces in 2207 mount their coordinated attack on Dezarium’s Grand Reverse. This trailer packs as much as possible into one minute to represent what is sure to be a VERY explosive conclusion. Let’s take it one shot at a time…

Dialogue translated by Jeff Blend

When last we saw Yuki Mori, she had taken the captain’s seat on Arizona‘s bridge. In the next shot, we see her minimal crew, which includes both Toru and Yuria Hoshina.

Yuki: Arizona, launch!

Next comes the scene Arizona fans have been dreaming of since 1981.

Quick shots of Sasha and Ryoichi Saito on 2026 Earth. Different locations, obviously.

Sasha: I had the comm medal. I’m done playing along. I won’t do as you say anymore.

Then we see a female Dezarian who is new to the story before cutting to Kodai looking all intense about something. You would too, in his position.

The last time we saw Saki Todo, she’d taken a gunshot while trying to revive Kanzaki, and their connection brought Ginga roaring to life. The two of them are adrift in limbo.

On future Earth, Isidore aims his handgun, most likely in support of Alphon.

Seiyu Kitano barks an order, probably from the bridge of Asuka, and Arizona lets fly with the first Wave-Motion Gun firing of the trailer. (Not the last.)

A fleet of carriers and another fleet of automated battleships fire their own WMG blasts. Fortunately, they do not ignite Earth’s atmosphere.

Still another carrier joins the pile-on, and the sky above Megalopolis is filled with the lightshow.

The Grand Reverse takes the first round right in the nuts, and we cut to space to see a phalanx of automated battleships rocketing forward in formation.

Voice: It appears that the Double Nucleus Bomb has been activated!

The title appears as they flash past the camera, bearing down on a Goruba high over Earth’s surface.

Down below, Arizona deploys its fancy disc-shaped counterweapons, which appear to reflect enemy fire.

Over 2026 Earth, Ranbel barks an order and Grodez adds its own fury to the party.

Ranbel: Infinite Beta Cannon fire!

Yamato and Grodez both fire directly at each other. You know what comes next.

Beam interception! The resulting burst of energy expands rapidly toward Yamato

Voice of Yuki: Infiltrate the Grand Reverse and alter the activation sequence at all costs!

Yamato and Kodai both struggle to hold position for what comes next.

On future Earth, Yuki shouts an order and the Grand Reverse starts rising.

We see Nanbu for the first time, operating the unmanned battleships from their control hub. Several charge forward at his command.

Nanbu: Goooo!

Like spears, they embed themselves into the flanks of the Grand Reverse.

Nanbu speaks again to clarify the objective for us.

Nanbu: Push it out into space!

Now we see that Ginga has joined the effort to get that thing back where it belongs.

Two sinister eyes open and we get a caption reading, “A magnificent ending.”

The caption is still there as we get a look at the skeletal planet Dezarium and hear the voice of Mother.

Mother Dezarium: Surrender yourself to my voice and let the Wave-Motion Core transform.

Then something wild: the streets of 2026 Shinjuku (right in front of the Shinjuku Piccadilly Theater) erupt from underneath.

Everyone is shocked to see what rises up from below: Pleiades-class battleships! Could it be that this isn’t 2026 Earth after all?

Trivia: the background behind the poor guy on the pavement is a real location in Tokyo called the Cats & Dogs Cafe. It’s a regular stop for General Director Harutoshi Fukui, so did them a solid by putting them on film.

A hint of Sasha’s fate: a dark substance starts to encase her.

Yamato is in pitched battle against huge, organic objects that spray energy beams in all directions.

Voice of Sanada: Something is consuming Mother Dezariam.

Yamato sprays back, lighting up what looks like the interior core of Dezarium.

Quick cuts give us a look at key characters. First, Sasha and Maxim…

Voice of Sasha: Yes, it doesn’t matter how you were born. What matters is how you lived.

…then Ranbel and Yoshiro Kosaka…

…Kozo Nanbu and Seiyu Kitano (looking satisfied toward a large flash of light)…

…then Alphon and Shino Todo.

We see Sasha once more as she finishes speaking.

Ginga and Gladiator cruise side by side through a maelstrom with something glowing between them. In the next shot, we see that this is a clutch of mobile space armor flying toward camera.

One more look at Yuki, pulling the trigger for a decisive shot.

Yuki: Get out of here!

Arizona belches Wave-Motion fire, which slams into the Grand Reverse to help push it up and away.

Then the money shot: the ghostly image of Mother Dezarium dissolving as her world is revealed in its true form. (Or so it seems.)

Sasha looks resigned to her fate as Yamato boils up what looks like a story-ending WMG blast.

Voice of Kodai: Sashaaaaa!!

Title: Chapter 7, Rainbow-Colored Reincarnation. Whatever it means, it has Kodai’s full attention.

Promotion for advance ticket sales with a Chapter 7 poster. The poster features Sasha’s quote: “It doesn’t matter how you were born. What matters is how you lived.”
