Space Battleship Yamato final chapter
Latest hot information!
Special release of secret design materials!
The end of Yamato, which left behind so many memories in our hearts, is coming!
As we announced in the previous issue, production is underway on Space Battleship Yamato, The Final Chapter, a film commemorating the 10th anniversary of Yamato, with the aim of releasing it in March of next year.
Yamato has created countless memories of our youth in our hearts. The biggest topic of this final chapter, which brings everything to a close, is the union of the love between two young people who grew up with Yamato, Susumu Kodai and Yuki Mori, and the spectacular final moments of Yamato itself. In addition, the story unfolds on a grand scale, with the water planet Aquarius, approaching Earth, and the terrifyingly advanced mecha army of the planet Dengil, which is plotting to invade Earth.
This time, we’ll take an opportunity to give you a special look at some secret setting materials we obtained from the production site. Among them, the two that are particularly impressive are the central base of planet Dengil, the City Satellite Uruk and the gigantic battleship of Lugal II, the commander of the mecha army.
How about showing Yamato at your school?
As November approaches and the colors of autumn deepen, the season for cultural and school festivals has arrived nationwide. Every year, these annual festivals are held on a grand scale with a variety of themes. Therefore, to add some color to your school’s cultural festival, and also in connection with the production of The Final Chapter, we have received some great news: past Space Battleship Yamato films will be lent out free of charge.

You might be able to attract everyone’s attention. Among school festivals, screening movies has become increasingly popular recently, and it’s gaining quite a bit of weight. It is being considered an event. The school category is not limited to junior high, high school, university, or any other type of school. Limited advanced tickets for The Final Chapter are now on sale with an original poster!
Fans have been talking about what the advanced tickets for The Final Chapter will look like, and now it has finally been decided that they will go on sale in early November.
The first special advanced ticket to be released is a super luxurious “cell-printed special limited advanced ticket.” The name alone might not give you a clear idea, but basically, just like regular anime cells, you can imagine Yamato cells super imposed on a background, and you should be able to guess what it is. Seeing is believing, so when it goes on sale, head to the theater box office, and ask the lady (or man) at the theater to show it to you.
However, there are only about 50,000 of these limited advanced tickets available nationwide. Since they will only be available for a limited time, you might need to start saving your allowance in anticipation of the advance ticket sales start date. They are tentatively scheduled to begin in early November, but this may change due to printing issues or other reasons, so please keep an eye on the advertisements. Of course, those who purchase advanced tickets will also receive an original Yamato poster. Look forward to it!
Responding to fan request requests, screenings will be held nationwide. Yamato launch!
We appealed to Yamato fans nationwide to find places that would like to host Yamato screenings, and we received enthusiastic requests from all over the country. In order to meet the demands of as many fans as possible, the staff organizing the screenings traveled east and west, steadily increasing the number of theaters where the films could be shown.
However, since the theaters that can show Yamato are mainly Toei theaters, there are some areas where screenings cannot be held, even if people want them. Please understand that the staff worked hard to allow as many people as possible to see the film.
The film being screened as Farewell to Yamato, which, along with its powerful emotional impact, taught you the preciousness of love. Before seeing The Final Chapter, let’s revisit this masterpiece and look back on a page from the 10-year history of Yamato. Of course, there will also be the latest information on the new film.
The screenings are scheduled to take place mainly on Sundays and public holidays, starting at 8:30 AM – 7:30 AM in Tokyo and Yokohama, so please feel free to join us!
Information about the screening will be announced in front of the theater, as well as in a Shueisha magazine (name TBD). Please keep an eye on the magazines as November approaches.
Furthermore, Producer Yoshinobu Nishizaki, the creator of Yamato, is scheduled to attend the screenings in Sapporo, Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka.
And now, we will share another big piece of news. The schedule hasn’t been announced yet, but the TV version of Space Battleship Yamato will be rebroadcast. It’s a thoughtful gesture so that even those who can’t attend the screenings can experience Yamato on television. Please look forward to it.
