Chapter 5 Prediction: What is the true identity of the giant alien the teaser?
See the original post here
Hello everyone!!
My prediction that the main visual and full trailer for Chapter 5 would be released on the 24th was completely wrong. Even so, on the night of the 24th, I thought, “Even if it’s not released today, maybe it will be released on the 25th as a Christmas present?” But in the end, as of today the 28th, it still hasn’t been released.
Since news of the completion announcement stage greeting came out yesterday, I think it will be released soon, but the possibility of it being released after the new year, which I didn’t think would happen before, is becoming more realistic.
Now, although it’s a bit late, I’d like to make a prediction about the biggest mystery scene in the Chapter 5 teaser, which was released on the 5th: the true identity of the mysterious giant alien.
Regarding this alien, design drawings and new scenes were released on the official Twitter account, but its true identity remains a mystery. I believe that its true identity probably connects to the core of the 3199 story.
Is the alien related to Shalbart?
To put it simply, I suspect that this alien is the true identity of what Dezarium calls “Mother,” and that it is either Shalbart Iscandar herself, or the ultimate form of her descendant.
When I first saw that alien, I was reminded of the final form of Alexia Ashford, the final boss in Code: Veronica, the fourth game in the popular Resident Evil series. This is a spoiler for the game, but this character, Alexia, is a madwoman who believes that the social structure of ants, where all worker ants obey a single queen ant, is the ideal system of control. She injected herself with a virus containing the queen ant’s genes and planned to spread it, creating a society where humanity, transformed into worker ants, would be ruled by her as the queen ant.
This is purely my own speculation, but perhaps Shalbart Iscandar had a similar ideology to Alexia. While the main Iscandar royal family sought to become higher beings through the study of souls, perhaps Shalbart was trying to become a queen ant ruling the universe through genetic modification?
The fact that the Iscandarians were inherently dominant is evident from Queen Starsha’s description of the royal family in 2205 as “having an unceasing desire for improvement and knowledge, but also being greedy, domineering, and extremely selfish.” Furthermore, there are descriptions suggesting that they subjected the enslaved Galmans to genetic modification that would:
① Make them only able to live on a specific planet (Garmillas or Galman).
② Absolutely ensure their loyalty to the Iscandarians at the genetic level.
This suggests that the Iscandarians possessed advanced genetic engineering technology.
In Chapter 4, Keeling said that Shalbart “remained to guide this planet (Galman),” but in reality, perhaps the Iscandarian evolutionary path saw a conflict between the “soul elementization” route and the “genetic modification” route. As a result, those who believed in “genetic modification,” like Shalbart, remained on Galman and tried to create their ideal utopia in the Milky Way galaxy. And so, Iscandar was split into two, as described above.
Over the long years that followed, the original Iscandar became a silent crystal, losing all interest in worldly affairs, while the Shalbarts, who underwent repeated genetic modifications, transformed into immortal monsters with that appearance, yet their lust for power remained undiminished. They created an avatar called “Mother” and are still attempting to dominate the entire universe.
Predicted Shalbart Dominance Structure
Incidentally, the Shalbart’s dominance structure can be summarized as follows:
First, Shalbart as the absolute ruler, the “Queen Ant,” reign at the top of the pyramid. Below her, the Shalbarts’ kin (presumably their daughters?) are dispatched to each galaxy in positions similar to governors. This is the entity referred to as “Mother.”
These Mothers organize armies of androids and cyborgs as their “soldier ants,” engaging in the invasion and occupation of planets. One of these soldier ant organizations is believed to be Dezarium.
And at the lowest level are the people of the various planets, the subjugated class, existing as “worker ants,” simply forced to work tirelessly for the Mothers.
Incidentally, regarding the name “Mother,” I initially thought it was a religious title because the original Yamato III featured a religious organization. However, it’s possible that “Mother” became the honorific title for the rulers because the Shalbarts at the top are actually the mothers of the Mothers in each region.
The True Identity of Digabelas
While Digabelas was speculated to be an “intermediate supply base” in the teaser, it is actually a base for controlling each galaxy, and the stronghold of the Mothers dispatched to various regions as governors. The Mothers likely connect their brains directly to a giant computer installed inside this fortress, sending various commands to their subordinate “soldier ants” like Dezarium.
Furthermore, the original base of operations for controlling the Milky Way galaxy is a similar fortress located in a strictly non-interference zone within the Bolar territory, which had been observed since ancient times. However, in order to carry out the large-scale operation of the Iscandar transfer operation and the Earth invasion operation, Mother Dezarium was dispatched, leading to the birth of a new “Witch of Uralia.”
In fact, according to Ram’s words, the “Witch of Uralia” began to be observed in the space between Galman and Berth two years prior (as of 2207), suggesting that she may have been trying to regain her original form. This coincides perfectly with the time when Dezarium appeared in the Large Magellanic Cloud in 2205. This coincidence cannot be a mere accident.
In the latter half of Chapter 4, Mother Dezarium emotionally ordered Ranbel not to let the survey fleet, including Yamato, approach Digabelas, likely because it was her own location.
What is the truth behind Dezarium’s 1,000 year dream?
Incidentally, if, as this analysis suggests, those grotesque aliens are the remnants of former Iscandarians, then the reason why they clung to Iscandar as “Dezarium’s 1000 year dream” becomes clear. Perhaps their true goal is to use the CRS to restore their bodies to their original beautiful forms.
At the time, they were likely focused solely on functionality when undergoing body modification, but the result was a monstrous appearance that prevented them from appearing in public. Even controlling the entire universe would be meaningless with such a form. Therefore, they focused on the CRS, which could even restore planets to their original state, and attempted to capture Iscandar.
Alternatively, even if they couldn’t restore their own forms, they might have considered transferring their consciousness to the bodies of Iscandarians restored by the CRS to regain their beautiful appearance. Although the planet Iscandar was destroyed by Starsha’s self-destruction, the fact that they are still fixated on the CRS and Sasha on Earth might be because it’s their last chance to regain their former selves.
Furthermore, “Dezarium’s 1,000 Year Dream” might simply mean that the division of Iscandar occurred 1,000 years ago, and that this was the dream held by the Shalbart faction, who began their path to becoming monsters at that time.
