Tomorrow’s setlist. I was wondering why the world of incidental music connects so much, so I tried writing out all the keys, and it turned out like this.<\/p>\n

On the 4th, since there was no program for the concert in Matsuyama, I compiled it myself for those who attended but are wondering, “What was the name of that song?”<\/p>\n

Akira-san and Shion’s Yamato<\/em> performance is truly exceptional, as expected. I’ve once again become convinced that this performance stems from the trust between Akira’s vision for the music he wants to create, and Shion’s ability to bring it to life in sound. It’s not something you could pull of with just yesterday’s rehearsal and today’s time-constrained dress rehearsal.<\/p>\n

It was truly, truly a magnificent performance. Overflowing with respect for his father, Akira’s meticulously chosen selections and song order. The first part was something you’d want to title “Wind Ensemble Symphonic Suite, Space Battleship Yamato<\/em>. Mr. Hiroshi Miyagawa must have been delighted, no doubt about it!<\/p>\n

Man, it kicked off with Sorrow<\/em>, the OG, three straight blasts of Yamato at Sunset<\/em>. As Akira Miyagawa said, even playing the same melody with different arrangements in a row, it totally works. That’s Yamato<\/em> music. We had the Birth<\/em> theme, too, and the national anthem sung together. So that’s five repeats. And plenty more packed in. The Earth-launching piece, too. Totally satisfied!<\/p>\n

It was so much fun! Live sound really is the best. It was very engaging to listen to. Thank you so much. The hall with its Showa-era atmosphere and scent felt somehow very nostalgic.<\/p>\n

Together with our music director Akira Miyagawa, Yasutoshi Miyagawa, and Chiko Miyagawa, we brought you the music of Space Battleship Yamato<\/em>. We received so much applause, making the stage even more spectacular. To everyone who came, thank you very much!!<\/p>\n

Man, it was the absolute best. Absolutely wonderful. Far beyond worth the trip – felt like I was showered with change and about to collapse. The overflowing, unstoppable thoughts and impressions will come later.<\/p>\n

Tonight it felt like the god of music blessed the Miyagawa family and Osaki Shion with a concert. Thank you so much! It was a wonderful concert that completely rewrite my previous impressions! Rexxam Hall really lets the sound project forward so well, and Shion’s sound has such high density, doesn’t it? Akira-san, I totally get why you’d feel like making the orchestra members stand up and want to do some public speaking after this original piece!<\/p>\n

I went to Yamato<\/em>‘s concert. Back in high school, I listened to it countless times on record and drew manga while listening to it, and hearing that same sound live made me truly happy. Memories even came flooding back of crying while listening to the All Night Nippon<\/em> radio drama in middle school. Music is amazing!<\/p>\n

At yesterday’s Matsuyama performance, I was in the left end of the second row on the stage-left side. At today’s Takamatsu performance, I’m in the right end of the third row on the stage-right side. The way each section sounds differs depending on the seat, and that’s why you notice things you otherwise wouldn’t. Always, anywhere, any number of times!<\/p>\n
