What is your favorite aspect of Yamato?

The way the enemies are portrayed. Rather than being depicted merely as “beings to be defeated,” the series conveys that they, too, have things they wish to protect and beliefs they hold dear. This evokes complex emotions during the battles. Sometimes I even feel empathy or sadness toward the enemy, and I think that aspect really adds depth to the work.

3. Are you a Yamato collector?

Mainly character merchandise and plastic models. I also collect books to use as reference materials when drawing the characters.

4.
