February 7<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n I’m also slowly sketching out the roughs on A4 paper. It gives me a bird’s-eye view of the overall flow and makes it easier to understand the volume of the visual effects.<\/p>\n February 14<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n Well, I’m back to working on the art again today. The deadline is approaching.<\/p>\n February 17<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n For now, I’ve finished and submitted the title page. Last time, I finished with a right-hand page, so there’s no title illustration. And the battle continues.<\/p>\n February 19<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n At a dinner party the other day.<\/p>\n Me: “Drawing the Battle of the Rainbow Star Cluster is really hard, and the serialization isn’t progressing as well as I’d like,” I said, showing a picture of the illustrations.<\/p>\n Izubuchi: “You’re saying it’s hard, but you’re bragging, aren’t you?”<\/p>\n Me: “Hmm.”<\/p>\n Anno: “Why not use CG instead of hand-drawing it?”<\/p>\n Me: “I want to cherish the good qualities of hand-drawing…”<\/p>\n Anno: “I can’t wait to read it. When will Yamato<\/em> be released?” [the next day] Me: “Eeek.”<\/p>\n February 20<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n The Space Battleship Yamato Complete Records Exhibition<\/em> has been announced in Hakata. It’s finally coming to Kyushu. February 20<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n I barely managed to finish the new chapter last night. The editorial department decided to update it within February, so I cut down on the pages I’d already submitted. So the volume is less than the original rough. What a shame…<\/p>\n I have another manga to work on, so I’ll be taking a break from Yamato<\/em> in March and working on that.<\/p>\n February 22<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n I watched Yamato<\/em> last night. (REBEL 3199<\/em> Chapter 5)<\/p>\n This chapter was packed with content, too. Perhaps because they prioritized story development, the depictions of ships and aircraft were too fast-paced, leaving few images that felt immersive. In addition to the monitor graphics, my own drawings were also displayed (like posters on the elementary school blackboard), reminding me of when I was working.<\/p>\n At Shinjuku Piccadilly, I was so happy to finally be able to talk to people for the first time in a long time. I’d been living a lonely, miserable life, not seeing or talking to anyone, day after day.<\/p>\n March 1<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n I submitted my new manga chapter to the editorial department, who wanted to update my serialization in February, but I was informed that the update would be postponed to March 6th.<\/p>\n They used to be able to update within 3-4 days of submission, but it seems like Kadokawa has slowed down. Maybe their process or organizational structure has changed since their web serialization was consolidated into Kadocomi.<\/em> My chapters are irregular, so maybe it’s difficult to fit them into the update schedule.<\/p>\n Anyway, the update is only a few days away.<\/p>\n ADDENDUM:<\/span> Mr. Murakawa’s new Yamato 2199<\/em> manga chapter appeared on March 6 as planned. <\/br><\/p>\n![](\"http:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault-images\/mar26\/murakawa226B.JPG\")
