This made The Alfee’s Toshihiko Takamizawa very excited. “It’s exactly the same as our theme. It’s been 10 years since Yamato was born and 10 years since The Alfee was born, so I’d love to meet him,” I said. I immediately visited Nishizaki at his office in Akasaka, Tokyo.

Working on the sex scenes • Similar to Spielberg

Producer Nishizaki repeatedly thanked Takamizawa for seeing Farewell to Yamato five times.

“I had no expectations for anime until then. I cried when I saw Yamato. It was the first time I’ve ever experienced that. I was so moved by the love story!“

As you know, the theme of Yamato is love and romance. Takamizawa passionately continues, “we are said to be living in the end of the century, and the world is filled with anxiety and violence. It’s against this social backdrop that black is in fashion. That’s why I want to appeal for love and peace. I’m sad that Yamato is ending. Is there no revival?“

“This is the finale of Space Battleship Yamato,” said Nishizaki. “It depicts the end of Yamato and the love between Kodai and Yuki Mori.“

10 years have passed since the birth of Yamato, and both Kodai and Yuki are no longer children. That’s why this work also includes a love scene between the two.

“The sex scenes are necessary because they are the culmination of Love. However, they are expressed through the woman’s face and we are currently working on that. We want fans to watch it and decide whether this ending is good or bad.”

Nishizaki said he would like to see how things go for three years after Yamato, since children’s sensibilities will change a lot, and technology will advance. He says he feels a commonality with Steven Spielberg after seeing his work. “I would love to work with Spielberg. Just like producer Lawrence went to Hollywood from Italy. I would like to take on the challenge with my planning skills and know-how.“

Finally, he said, “I want to tell young people to believe in humanity and the future. I want The Alfee to convey that message.”

Takamizawa agreed, saying, “among the fans who come to our concerts, there may be people who will move the country forward. We also want to give them a good message.“

Narration by Nakadai: “I can relate to this”

Tatsuya Nakadai recorded the narration for Space Battleship Yamato, The Final Chapter at 1 PM on the fourth at Avaco studio in Shinjuku, Tokyo. “This is my first time as a full-fledged narrator. Even people like us in our 50s can relate to it.“

Return to previous article

[1

post-42693","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
