It had a profound impact on the Japanese anime industry, became a social phenomenon, and continues to inspire remake series to this day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"textBlue\">On Sunday December 21, the very first TV series, <em>Space Battleship Yamato<\/em> (all 26 episodes), which started it all, will be broadcast in its entirety.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"textBlue\">On Saturday December 27, and Sunday December 28, the following films will air: <em>Space Battleship Yamato<\/em>, a re-edited version of the first TV series depicting the hardships of <em>Yamato<\/em> as it journeys to the distant planet Iscandar to save Earth from impending destruction.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"textBlue\">The second theatrical film <em>Farewell to Yamato<\/em>, where the <em>Yamato<\/em> launches again against a new threat, the White Comet Empire.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"textBlue\">The TV special <em>The New Voyage<\/em>, where <em>Yamato<\/em> and its crew, alerted by their former arch-enemy Commander Dessler, about Iscandar&#8217;s crisis, head to Iscandar for rescue. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"textBlue\">The third theatrical film, <em>Be Forever Yamato<\/em>, where <em>Yamato<\/em>, Earth&#8217;s last hope, sets out to liberate Earth from invaders. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"textBlue\">The fourth theatrical film, <em>Final Yamato<\/em>, depicts the desperate battle between the <em>Yamato<\/em> crew and the Dengil Empire, who lost their homeworld and now target Earth. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"textBlue\">The fifth theatrical film, <em>Yamato<\/em> Resurrection, shows the revived <em>Yamato<\/em> facing its greatest crisis as a mobile black hole approaches Earth. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"textBlue\">These six films will be broadcast over two days. The first two will be 4K remastered versions (broadcast in 2K) and the others will be HD remastered versions. This &#8220;Shining Ship&#8221; lineup consisted of <em>Yamato<\/em>, <em>Andromeda<\/em>, and <em>Apollo Norm<\/em>. Now the 3rd refit-type <em>Yamato<\/em> from <em>REBEL 3199<\/em> is getting the same treatment.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault-images\/nov25\/077b68.JPG\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Measuring about 6.5&#8243; long, it is equipped with option parts and internal lighting. Described as an &#8220;All Night Screening,&#8221; it took place at the Shinjuku Piccadilly Theater and gave fans their first opportunity to see all four chapters on a big screen in one sitting.<\/p>\n<p>It commenced with Chapter 1 at 11pm and concluded at almost 5:30am (with breaks in between chapters). Far from being daunted, enough fans showed up to literally sell out the theater.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault-images\/nov25\/077b71.JPG\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And to award everyone for their steely dedication, a special theater giveaway was printed up just for the event&#8230;<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault-images\/nov25\/077b72.JPG\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8230;four facsimiles of animation art (genga) for the four top-tier characters. If you&#8217;ve never heard of him, Wikipedia describes him thus:<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"textBlue\">An American choral conductor, record producer, record-industry executive, and professional oboist. He was involved in almost all aspects of the industry, particularly as a conductor and Artists and Repertoire (A&#038;R) man. Miller was one of the most influential people in American popular music during the 1950s and early 1960s, both as the head of A&#038;R at Columbia Records and as a best-selling recording artist with an NBC television series, <em>Sing Along with Mitch<\/em>. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester in the early 1930s, Miller began his musical career as a player of the oboe and English horn, making numerous highly regarded classical and popular recordings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you sample even a little bit of Miller&#8217;s catalog, you&#8217;ll find that &#8220;TTZ-L&#8221; wasn&#8217;t wrong.
