The staff behind the latest installment of REBEL 3199<\/em> discussed the behind-the-scenes production of Chapter 4 in \u201cYamatalk Script Edition,” a pre-recorded program screened from October 17th to 23rd at the Shinjuku Piccadilly theater (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo) and three other locations. This marked the first attempt to screen a pre-recorded Yamatalk event, previously held live, to make it accessible to a wider audience. <\/p>\n General Director Harutoshi Fukui, Director Naomichi Yamato, and Screenwriter Hideki Oka were joined by anime\/tokusatsu researcher Ryusuke Hikawa and moderator Eriko Nakamura (voice of Mikage Kiryu). They discussed Chapter 5, The Incandescent Galactic War<\/em>, set for release on February 20, 2026.<\/p>\n The appearance of Bemlarze and Daria from the Bolar Federation in the Chapter 5 teaser trailer also became a hot topic. Fukui revealed, \u201cDaria’s eye patch was (character designer) Nobuteru Yuki’s idea. There was a proposal to make her a young girl, but that would draw too much attention to her eyes, so she became an adult woman.\u201d<\/p>\n Fukui also hinted that Chapter 5 will feature the \u201ccontinuous warp\u201d scene from the original work, adding, \u201cBut it doesn’t end there. In 3199<\/em>, there’s an additional element added after this.\u201d<\/p>\n Unreleased footage not used in the Chapter 5 teaser was unveiled. Scenes foreshadowing an all-out war and a shot of Hyuga<\/em> alongside Deusula III<\/em> were shown. Fukui stated, \u201cA total war will be waged. At the center is the Shalbart-class relic battleship. It’s gold, but in Yamato III,<\/em> the same design was green. I believe the green version will appear in Chapter 5.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cHyuga<\/em> and Deusula III<\/em> are firing simultaneously. It’s deeply moving.\u201d<\/p>\n A shot of Kodai and Alphon facing off was also released. As Fukui noted, \u201cWhat bothered me in Be Forever<\/em> was that Alphon and Kodai never met directly. In 3199<\/em>, Alphon has a spare body, so we can depict their confrontation. What are they fighting over?\u201d Their direct confrontation seems set to be a highlight.<\/p>\n The series spans seven chapters, now entering its latter half. The catchphrase for Chapter 5’s teaser visual is \u201cThe \u2018Unexpected\u2019 Begins,\u201d raising anticipation for what unexpected twists lie ahead. Regarding future developments, Mr. Oka stated, \u201cEverything we’ve built up so far will intertwine and come to a close,\u201d while Mr. Fukui added, \u201cWe’re finally going full throttle. We’ll keep defying expectations. The next chapter is a spectacle of light and sound. The staff has really hit their stride now. That synergy explodes for the first time in Chapter 5.\u201d<\/p>\n Megumi Han, Who Inherited the Role from Her Mother, Says \u201cDifferent Feelings Are Also Embodied\u201d<\/h3>\n Published at Mantan Web, Nov 7, 2025. REBEL 3199<\/em> is a reinterpretation and reconstruction of the original Be Forever Yamato<\/em> and Yamato III.<\/em> Chapter 4 features the grown-up Sasha, and it was revealed in the film that she was raised in a special environment. <\/p>\n Regarding the grown-up Sasha, Fukui explained, “She suddenly gets too close, doesn’t understand personal space. If told \u2018Cut it out,\u2019 she immediately cries. She could easily become an annoying character, but she manages to stay just on the right side. We show what she’s thinking through the direction. I was conscious of that balance.\u201c<\/p>\n In 3199,<\/em> the fact that Megumi Han plays Sasha has also become a topic of discussion. In Be Forever<\/em>, Megumi’s mother, Keiko Han, played Sasha, and Megumi inherited the role.<\/p>\n Oka revealed behind-the-scenes details: \u201cFirst, we had Megumi Han try three patterns: A, B, and C. I thought \u2018A\u2019 was perfect for Sasha from Be Forever,<\/em> but Fukui-san chose \u2018C\u2019 because it felt more human. While Megumi’s Sasha is often said to resemble Keiko’s, it also carries different emotions.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/br><\/p>\n
