Yamato<\/em>‘s secret power-up<\/h3>\n

The distance to the enemy Dark Nebula Empire is approximately 400,000 light-years. To save Earth from impending crisis, warp is the only option. Therefore, Yamato<\/em> has been modified to enable continuous warp.<\/p>\n

Yamato<\/em>‘s most powerful weapon is the Wave-Motion Gun. However, all other functions must be shut down to fire it. This makes it impossible to fight against the enemy’s high-performance weapons. Therefore, a new cartridge cannon was developed, allowing Wave-Motion Energy to be stored in a cartridge and fired.<\/p>\n

The most effective weapon against the enemy’s mobile fleet is the Wave Bomb. This also uses Wave Energy. The only way to destroy the enemy’s home planet is with Wave Energy.<\/p>\n

In previous Yamato<\/em> series, the ship had blind spots directly below and behind it, which were often exploited by enemies, leading to several crises. To address this, a 360-degree radar system was installed, enabling the ship to detect all enemy movements. Additionally, the main cannon now features three white stripes representing the three battles in which the Yamato<\/em> has fought, known as \u201cparticipation marks.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u25cf Kodai and Yuki – where will their love lead?<\/p>\n

Kodai heads into space aboard Yamato<\/em> while Yuki remains on Earth, wounded. This is the first time the two have been separated in this series. Kodai is targeted by Sasha, while Yuki is pursued by the enemy lieutenant Kiman. Anxiety crosses the minds of Kodai and Yuki. However, the two believe in each other. No matter what happens, their love will be eternal. Sasha and Lieutenant Kiman give up their feelings for them, defeated by the beauty of their mutual trust.<\/p>\n

\u25cf Sasha, who gave up on Kodai, now…<\/p>\n

Sasha awakens to her Iscandar heritage. She begins to understand the life of her mother, Starsha, who died for the sake of the universe…<\/p>\n

\u25cf Lieutenant Kiman makes his \u201cdecision\u201d<\/p>\n

Kiman takes the wounded Yuki to his residence and tends to her wounds. It is because he has been captivated by Yuki’s beauty. Eventually, Kiman confesses his love to Yuki. However, knowing the depth of her love for Kodai, he makes his decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cYuki, defeat me. If you defeat me, I will tell you the secret to saving Earth.\u201d Yuki leaves Kiman’s residence. And the day of the \u201cshowdown\u201d arrives. The battle between Yuki and Kiman…<\/p>\n

\u25cf Mamoru silently presses the self-destruct device on his chest<\/p>\n

Mamoru and the Earth Defense Force Commander are cornered by Dark Nebula Fleet Commander Kazan. Mamoru sacrifices himself to save Earth and protect the commander. No words are needed for a man who believes.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the issue was an article titled Dynamic Summer Quiz Show, Challenges from TV and Movie favorites<\/em>. It consisted of 16 quiz questions “hosted” by popular characters. To start off, characters from Galaxy Express<\/em> and Yamato<\/em> challenged your knowledge of space and rocketry. <\/p>\n
