Yamato<\/em>, which ended with love still lingering in our hearts, is back for a revival! Packed with the latest information!<\/p>\n

What are the plans for the Yamato<\/em> movie and TV series?<\/h3>\n

Despite having many fans, new Space Battleship Yamato<\/em> projects have disappeared from TV screens. What is happening with it? To answer questions from many readers, the editorial team at Middle 1st Age<\/em> tracked down Mr. Todoki at Academy Planning and obtained the following information.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe schedule has not been finalized, but we plan to screen The New Voyage<\/em> as a year-end\/New Year’s movie.\u201d<\/p>\n

Surprisingly, the next Yamato<\/em> will indeed be a theatrical film. When asked about future plans he said, \u201cWell, should I say it? We’re planning to release the movie Yamato III<\/em> next summer. Whether it will be for TV or not is still undecided…\u201d<\/p>\n

The first one to watch is the expanded version of The New Voyage<\/em> at the end of the year!<\/h3>\n

What kind of movie will Yamato<\/em> be at the end of the year? It is based on Space Battleship Yamato, The New Voyage<\/em>, which was broadcast as a two-hour TV program in July of this year. However, the TV version is 1 hour and 40 minutes long, excluding commercial breaks. The movie to be shown at the end of the year will be 2 hours and 20 minutes long. So, naturally, there will be 40 minutes of additional content compared to the TV version.<\/p>\n

What has been added? I pressed the Academy Planning Department for details, but they would only say, \u201cThat’s a secret. There are no major changes to the story.\u201d The only information I was able to get was that there will be a big battle scene involving Susumu Kodai’s older brother, Mamoru, near the end.<\/p>\n

There are sure to be many other additional scenes. I can’t wait to see what kind of movie it will be.<\/p>\n[Translator’s note: after comparing this announcement to the historical record, it appears to have either been misinformation or a plan that did not materialize. It is known that scenes were partially animated but cut from The New Voyage<\/em> in its original broadcast, so the plan may have been to complete them for a rerun, but this didn’t happen. Yamato<\/em> III to be made into a movie next August?<\/h3>\n

The 70mm theatrical film scheduled for next August will be Yamato III<\/em>. It is still in the planning stages, but the enemy will be Gabochin from the Dark Nebula that appeared in the end of last year’s Yamato<\/em>.<\/p>\n

If this movie is a hit, there is also good news that Yamato III<\/em> will be broadcast on TV starting in October.<\/p>\n

If the movie is popular in August, it will be adapted into a TV anime, and it is sure to be a huge hit! If that happens, it is expected that the next Yamato<\/em> TV series will begin in October next year.<\/p>\n[Translator’s note: in this case, information was a bit scrambled.
