In the year 2203, a large ice planet called Aquarius approaches the solar system from outside the galaxy. Its orbit brings it close to the Orion Arm of the Milky Way. According to ancient cosmic mythology, when Earth was still young billions of years ago, Aquarius approached and the gravitational pull caused a massive amount of water to rain down on the planet. The water formed oceans and nurtured life. Since then, Aquarius has continued to approach Earth, said to be the cause of the Paleozoic flood and the extinction of dinosaurs.<\/p>\n

Aquarius is a planet made entirely of water with a core of heavy water at its center, and there is a floating continent above sea level. It is said that a beautiful queen, Queen Aquarius, lives there alone among the ruins of a culture from long ago.<\/p>\n

Aquarius’ current orbit is influenced by a galactic collision. This was an event where a massive galaxy emerged from a dimensional fracture, crossed the Milky Way, and vanished into another dimensional fracture. Due to this crossing, the region on the opposite side from Earth, the core star systems and beyond, is severely damaged. As a result, the interstellar Galman-Gamilas Empire built by Dessler, and the Bolar Federation which was hostile to it, are both almost completely destroyed. Upon learning of this, the Earth Defense Force dispatches Yamato<\/em> to investigate.<\/p>\n

Yamato<\/em> encounters an incident where it loses its course in space. When it finally regains its bearings, it discovers a planet-\u2014Dengil\u2014-whose land had been submerged by water pouring down from Aquarius.<\/p>\n

On Dengil, an advanced scientific civilization has developed the universe’s most powerful mechanized army, led by the High Priest Lugal, who is preparing to launch a mission in search of a new world. Meanwhile, Aquarius approaches Earth. Upon learning of this, Yamato<\/em> makes a 180-degree turn and heads home. However, it is attacked en route by an unknown fleet and loses contact.<\/p>\n

With highlights such as the water planet Aquarius and the Dengil mechanized army, both the art and mecha are worth seeing. The mystery of the story also deepens. Expectations are high for Final Yamato<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Film concert & fan club membership recruitment<\/h3>\n

To commemorate the upcoming \u201cFinal Chapter\u201d in March next year, the Space Battleship Yamato<\/em> Fan Club will host regional screenings and fan gatherings at approximately 100 locations nationwide. The screenings will feature past films and provide updates on the Final Chapter. Additionally, as a token of gratitude to longtime fans who have supported Yamato<\/em>, Yamato<\/em>-themed merchandise will be distributed.<\/p>\n

Admission is free for everyone, regardless of whether you are a member of the fan club. Additionally, to encourage as many fans as possible to participate, we are currently accepting applications for locations where screenings can be held. Please submit your application, including the location where you and a group of at least 20 people would like a screening to take place, to Yamato<\/em> Fan Club Headquarters by July 10.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the Yamato<\/em> Fan Club is currently recruiting new members. The fan club was established around the time production began on Farewell to Yamato<\/em>, and since then has been publishing a bimonthly magazine and holding fan gatherings and screenings.<\/p>\n

Those who wish to join the Yamato<\/em> fan club should write \u201cI wish to join\u201d on a postcard, clearly indicating their address, name, and age, and send it to fan club headquarters. You will receive detailed information in return. (Address and contact info deleted)<\/p>\n

Next year marks the 9th anniversary of the broadcast of Space Battleship Yamato<\/em>, and the 10th anniversary of the project. Let’s enjoy the final chapter not only through the movie but also through events, magazines, and other information created by the production team.
