Tyltyl and Mytyl, a brother and sister, go on a mysterious journey in search of the blue bird of happiness. Everyone knows Maeterlinck’s classic fairy tale The Blue Bird<\/em>, and now this is the world’s first full-fledged anime version.<\/p>\n

The original story takes place over a single long night, but the anime will accomplish this in each episode. From the twinkling of the first star to dawn the next day, Tyltyl and Mytyl will wander through the world of dreams and return home. Their companions on this mysterious journey are a dog, a cat, sugar, bread, milk, time, fire, and water fairies. For the first time in anime, it will include plenty of musical scenes to raise the fantasy mood.<\/p>\n

The story begins on a snowy Christmas Eve night. Tyltyl and Mytyl are sad because their mother has fallen ill and is in the hospital. Then the good fairy Beryline appears. She tells them that if they look for the blue bird, happiness will return to them. They set off on an adventurous journey in search of the blue bird…!<\/p>\n

Happy Friends<\/h3>\n

Tyltyl and Mytyl have a lot of friends on their mysterious journey. First of all, there is a male dog, Chiro, and a female cat, Chilette. These two are both rivals and friends. Chiro is loyal, while Chilette is cool and selfish.<\/p>\n

Many other spirits also appear. For example, the spirit of light who guides Tytyl and Mytyl journey. The queen of the night who opposes the spirit of light and supports the cat people. The milk spirit, who is a chatty old lady. The Sugar Spirit, who is easily spoiled…!<\/p>\n
