A warped sheet of glass was moved across a cell one frame at a time to distort the image as if the camera was submerged. The &#8220;gondola&#8221; was an attachment to the animation stand that allowed the background art to be moved toward or away from the lens in order to avoid a time-consuming double-exposure. The only drawback with this technique was that the background could not be in focus.<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault-images\/jun22\/SB5128.jpeg\" border=0 \/><\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault-images\/jun22\/SB5129.jpeg\" border=0 \/><\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault-images\/jun22\/SB5130.jpeg\" border=0 \/><\/p>\n<p>Nox&#8217;s line at 356 was not in the finished episode. In the original, he abandons them to their fate and closes the hatch in their stunned faces.<\/p>\n<p>Do you notice which infamous line is <em>missing<\/em> from this page? &#8220;Nox got out just behind you.&#8221; When you listen carefully to the recording, the tonality of that line is just different enough from the preceding line to indicate that it was recorded in a different session. AND we don&#8217;t see Dash&#8217;s face when we hear him speak. This bolsters the theory that it was a late-stage insertion. (Probably when someone lost their nerve.)<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault-images\/jun22\/SB5133.jpeg\" border=0 \/><\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault-images\/jun22\/SB5134.jpeg\" border=0 \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The mammoth battleship makes Argo look like a midget or a dwarf.&#8221; That&#8217;s a curious word choice.
