In this case, the purple Lambea comes with the purple Astro Attack Dive Bomber DMB87 Snuka. It is included at both mecha collection size (handheld) and 1\/1000 miniatures (20 standard and 1 flight leader). Both feature similar Astro Battleships as their main element, each with a variant bow design. Story-wise, this &#8220;underbite&#8221; variant is a newer vessel with heavier weapons named Haizerad-class. In the background of the story, it is said to be the first of the multi-deck carriers, serving as the base model from which the others vary.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault-images\/jun14\/86925.JPG\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It measures about 16&#8243; long when built and comes with a fleet of 36 1\/1000 scale <em>Dolcia<\/em> torpedo bombers (35 standard, 1 squadron leader). The answer came with this special expansion set that brought the larger version &#8220;up to code&#8221; by supplying wings, fightercraft, an internal hangar with storage for Cosmo Falcons, and extra catapult parts for Cosmo Zeroes.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault-images\/jul14\/87711.JPG\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>1\/500 <em>Yamato<\/em> etched metal parts<\/h3>\n<p><em>July, 2014<\/em><\/p>\n<p>If you wanted to take your <em>Yamato<\/em> model even farther, online shop Premium Bandai offered a sheet of metal &#8220;etching parts&#8221; to replace chunkier plastic ones. A prototype existed for display at hobby shows, but that appeared to be the limit. Then came the 53rd All Japan Model Hobby Show in <a href='https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault\/799'>October 2013<\/a>. Series director Yutaka Izubuchi, apparently wanting to rouse some rabble, polled the audience at a <em>2199<\/em> panel to see how many would buy it &#8211; and plenty of hands went up. Bandai&#8217;s <em>2199<\/em> model developer called his boss from that very stage to report the news. Fandom had spoken, and the wheels started turning.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault-images\/aug14\/88747.JPG\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Nine months later the baby was born, and what a baby it is. Nearly 29&#8243; long, it comes in a box big enough to require a handle and it slides apart to be stored in two pieces. As of now, it is the single longest model kit you can buy from the series, beating the <a href='https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault\/165'>1\/350 <em>Yamato<\/em><\/a> by just over an inch.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault-images\/aug14\/88748.JPG\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Find more photos of this brute <a href='https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault\/Domelazemodel'>here<\/a>. See photos of the packaging <a href='http:\/\/www.1999.co.jp\/10274577'>here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault-images\/aug14\/88760.JPG\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>1\/1000 Garmillas Warships Imperial Color set<\/h3>\n<p><em>July, 2014<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Premium Bandai released its next custom-color set of Garmillas models, consisting of a <em>Haizerad<\/em> and a <em>Meltoria<\/em> in Imperial Blue.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault-images\/dec14\/93567.JPG\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>1\/1000 <em>Yamato<\/em> Cosmo Reverse System edition<\/h3>\n<p><em>November, 2014<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Nearly two and a half years after the first 1\/1000 <em>2199 Yamato<\/em> kicked off a new generation of models, this version reflected its appearance near the end of the story, with the Wave-Motion Gun plugged up and rerouted to service the Cosmo Reverse System.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault-images\/dec14\/93568.JPG\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<div style='width:380px; margin-right: 0px; float: left'>Also new was a full set of decals and miniatures of all the smaller craft: the Ki-8, Type 100 Scout Plane, Cosmo Seagull, Melda&#8217;s <em>Czvarke<\/em>, and the Garmillas boarding craft. At 334mm long (about 13.1 inches), it beats <em>Yamato<\/em> by only a hair, but is far bulkier overall with its complex double-hull shape.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault-images\/jan15\/95828.JPG\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It also comes with four to-scale Devastator fightercraft, and one at Mecha Collection size. Though there was no Devastator in the vintage Mecha Collection lineup, one was packaged as a bonus kit with the EDF Battleship (1979).<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault-images\/jan15\/95829.JPG\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Though this kit is a first in many ways, it is actually NOT the first large-scale Nazca-class ship. That distinction belongs to a little-known (and now very rare) model released by <a href='https:\/\/www.ourstarblazers.com\/vault\/206'>Nomura Toy Co.<\/a> in November 1978, during its tenure as a <em>Yamato 2<\/em> sponsor. It clocked in at 11.4&#8243; long and is now prized by collectors.
