The year is 2199 A.D. and Earth is on the verge of extinction.<\/p>\n

8 years ago, Earth made its first contact with an alien civilization. Though we extended the hand of friendship, they responded with a unilateral act of war and began a campaign of indiscriminate and ruthless attacks.<\/p>\n

At the Second Battle of Mars, we managed to stop their great offensive, at great cost to both sides. After that, the enemy retreated to the relative safety of Pluto, which they had modified to suit their needs, and from their base they began launching long range attacks with Planet Bombs. To survive these attacks, mankind was forced to seek shelter in huge underground cities. The Earth Defense Fleet is almost completely destroyed by the enemy’s superior military power.<\/p>\n

As for the Earth…<\/p>\n

The oceans have evaporated, the atmosphere is contaminated and nearly all animal and plant life has been extinguished. Now, another danger looms over the underground cities, mankind\u2019s last refuge, as the radiation and biological contaminants from the Planet Bombs seep deeper into the Earth. According to scientists, there is only one year left until the human race becomes extinct.<\/p>\n

This is where our story begins. The story of mankind\u2019s last hope. The story of a mighty ship and her brave crew.<\/p>\n
