I barely finished the art. The update schedule for Yamato 2199 Episode 57 is still undecided. I’ll spend a few days drawing for other projects before returning to the serialization.
While drawing this manga, I became acutely aware of my own pace again. Mecha-heavy pages are brutal, taking a day and a half per page and leaving me exhausted (whereas I can draw several character pages in a day). I should be able to improve the accuracy of estimating workloads at the rough stage going forward.
Anyway, taking today off to clean!!

Tamamori-san’s art book is out of stock on Amazon. I hope Mag Garden does a reprint or something.
The other day, I was at a meeting with the editor in charge of the Yamato 2199 serialization (publication date still undecided), and I learned that Kadokawa has almost no stock left of my art book; it’s only available through online stores or whatever retail stock is left. And since publishers avoid creating new inventory, it seems a reprint is unlikely.
Books have truly become one-time encounters; if you miss buying one, there’s no next time. Depending on the publisher, even for manga, if sales are slow, they might handle sequels as new releases printed only as e-books. Books are rare.
If I see Tamamori-san’s art book in a bookstore, I want to buy another copy!

Sorry for the wait. The manga version of Yamato 2199 is finally updated and finally released. I’ve been swamped with design work for REBEL 3199, so even though the story was ready, I couldn’t find the time to draw it properly. But now, I’m back as a manga artist.
I plan to proceed with the Rainbow Star Cluster arc using a completely different structure from the anime version. Having mecha pages slows me down, but I’ll do my best to draw them. Thank you for your support.
