Chapter 4 Review Part 4:
About the Galman-Garmillas Empire
See the original post here
The Galman Empire lost 70% of its population to Dezarium’s attack. Even adding the 49 million Galman people, the total population is estimated to be only around 2 to 3 billion. Furthermore, the effects of the cooling have drastically reduced their productive capacity, making it difficult to increase weapons production.
Regarding countermeasures for the drastic population decline, as I mentioned in Part 1, I believe the best solution is for the Galman-Garmillas Empire to become a multi-ethnic nation by incorporating other ethnic groups. Interbreeding with other ethnic groups would overcome the physical weaknesses of both the Garmillas and Galman peoples. Since it wouldn’t cause a sudden population surge, isn’t this the most realistic approach?
In that sense, it was unexpected — and an absolutely brilliant idea — that Ram, a great character in Yamato III who never got his due, would become Dessler’s ally. Ideally, he’d liberate the planet Berth, suffering under the Bolar Federation’s oppressive rule. He’d become its head of state and make it an ally of the Galman-Garmillas Empire. Seeing this, other member states of the Bolar Federation might decide it’s more advantageous to break away from the oppressive federation and ally with the Galman-Garmillas Empire instead. That could lead to the Bolar Federation’s disintegration.
In terms of military strength, the situation of freezing temperatures and a drastically reduced population makes building warships difficult. This disadvantage is compensated for by utilizing the excavated weapons of Iscandar. On the other hand, it’s regrettable that the efforts made to overcome the trauma of facing Goruba and the failure of the Dessler Cannon – leading to the creation of the Hyper Dessler Cannon – have been rendered meaningless.
This “relying on Iscandar for everything” makes the Galman-Garmillas Empire seem like an incompetent nation with no effort or ingenuity, which isn’t a good impression.
The “Large Battleship” was literally a large vessel at 492 meters in the original series, but the Shalbart-class Space Battleship in 3199 has been reduced to 343.15 meters, about the same size as Yamato. It seems the bow section carries an Iscandar-made Wave-Motion Gun.
This means the Dessler-class gunboat I loved loses its reason to appear, making it highly unlikely to show up in 3199. Not only that, but the Galman-Garmillas twin three-stage carrier, the combat carrier, the medium combat ship, and the destroyer probably won’t appear either. Worst case, the new Dessler ship might not appear at all, potentially becoming an original design like the Deusula.
Among Yamato‘s mecha, I loved the Galman-Garmillas Empire vessels from Yamato III the most. I was looking forward to seeing those ships revived with a modern design. If the Galman-Garmillas Empire vessels don’t appear, I’ll be utterly disappointed.
At the very least, I want them to add even one scene where, after defeating Dezarium and ending the glaciation, they start mass-producing Galman-Garmillas ships and overwhelm the Bolar Federation.
Furthermore, the Garmillans have accumulated deep-seated grudges against Dezarium since the original series, compounded by the massacre of 70% of the Garmillas people in 2205. When Yamato is surrounded by the Goruba fleet and faces a major crisis, I want a scene where the Galman-Garmillas Imperial Fleet led by Dessler appears, directs Yamato toward Dezarium’s homeworld, and then annihilates the remaining Goruba fleet with the Hyper Dessler Cannon.
Also, since Gol Hainey’s death scene wasn’t clearly depicted, I personally think he might still be alive. As I’ve written many times, scenarios where someone dies just to tug at heartstrings feel outdated nowadays. I want Hainey to play the role of saving Sasha when she’s on the verge of death on Dezarium’s homeworld and delivering her to Dessler’s fleet. Then, Sasha could become Dessler’s wife, symbolizing the unification of Iscandar and the Galman-Garmillas Empire. I’m convinced Hainey is definitely alive and that there’s some kind of surprise in store.
Also, changing the subject, don’t you think Frakken resembles Sir Cowler from Supernova Flashman? I absolutely loved both Flashman and Sir Cowler.
Everyone, please watch Chapter 4!!

Chapter 4 Review Part 5:
About the Bolar Federation
See the original post here
In Chapter 4, no Bolar Federation members appeared, other than the Berthian aliens like Ram. However, given Chapter 5’s title The Incandescent Galactic War, the Bolar Federation will likely play a significant role. Let’s revisit the Bolar Federation from Yamato III here. First, the characters.
The head of state of the Bolar Federation is likely Prime Minister Berm Bemlarze (since he’s called “Prime Minister,” there might be another head of state). He had the look of a typical villain, his voice was like Dokurobe, and he didn’t feel like a major figure capable of dividing the galaxy.
However, in 3199, even though he only appeared briefly in one scene, his appearance was like Al Capone – imposing and absolutely fantastic. His taciturn demeanor and cigar-smoking pose radiated the aura of a big shot. Awesome!!
Also, the female executive Daria added great flavor and was fantastic. She might be my favorite female character in Yamato remake. I’m a fan of the underground idol group AdamLilith, and I’m especially a huge fan of Yao-chan, who wears an eye patch. I absolutely love it when beautiful women wear eye patches, so Daria is irresistible to me.
On top of that, my pen name is written as “星鈴” (Hoshirin) but read as “Stalin” – I’m that big of a Soviet Union fan. So the Bolar Federation in 3199 is absolutely irresistible to me. Originally, I started watching Yamato because I liked Dessler, so my absolute favorite is the Galman-Garmillas Empire. But my second favorite nation is the Bolar Federation.
Fundamentally, Dezarium should be the Bolar Federation’s greatest enemy too. Dezarium in 3199 is utterly despicable and cowardly, so personally, I wish the Galman-Garmillas Empire and the Bolar Federation would form a Tripartite Alliance, including Earth, fighting together against Dezarium instead of waging war.
Since the Bolar Federation is a communist state, they could just claim that the oppression of the Galman people and the diplomatic insult to Dessler were actions Boroze and his crew took on their own authority without Chairman Bemlarze’s permission. As an apology, the Bolar Federation could cede territory around the Galman homeworld to the Galman-Garmillas Empire and recognize the independence of the planet Berth in order for Ram to save face. Then, hand over Boroze and Rebarus to the Galman-Garmillas Empire, pin all responsibility on them, and execute them publicly before the Galman people.
The invasion of the Dezarium homeworld should be conducted jointly by the Galman-Garmillas fleet, including Yamato and the new Dessler ship, and the Bolar Federation fleet, including the Zespaze.
Goruba may be resistant to Wave Guns, but it won’t withstand the gravity of a black hole cannon and will be flattened. The Dezarium fleet can be sucked in one by one with black hole cannons. Fire the Hyper Dessler Cannon at the isolated Dezarium homeworld, destroy Mother Dezarium, and exterminate all Dezarium people. A twisted entity like Mother Dezarium should be utterly destroyed rather than reprogrammed.
Some might feel sorry for Fleur if she dies, but Dezarium destroyed the Garmillas homeworld and massacred children, so it’s their own fault. Anyway, I hate Dezarium so much I can’t stand it. I want the Galman-Garmillas Empire and the Bolar Federation to make peace quickly and fight together.
Everyone, be sure to watch Chapter 4!!

Chapter 4 Review Part 6: About Major Alphon
See the original post here
In Chapter 4, helping Earth children raised Major Alphon’s standing. Though details weren’t given, it seemed he also led a tragic life due to Mother Dezarium. So, he’ll probably sympathize with Earthlings and reveal Dezarium’s secrets.
Specifically, I think Major Alphon will explain the secrets of Grand Reverse and analyze Mother Dezarium’s correction program. Judging by the preview, it seems many Earthlings’ brains will be initialized too. Will Major Alphon also teach them how to revive?
Even in the original series, he was the only character from the Dark Nebula Empire you could like. With 3199‘s longer runtime, I expect his reasons for siding with Earthlings will be explained in much greater detail. And with the added confrontation with Kodai, which wasn’t in the original, he’ll become an even more compelling character.
If Major Alphon also suffered a tragic life because of Mother Dezarium, his hatred for her would surely intensify. Ultimately, Skaldart and Kazan will likely die in battle too, so thanks to Mother Dezarium, everyone ends up miserable. Gatlantis was wiped out, so I want Dezarium wiped out too.
Or it’d be funny if the area around Dezarium’s homeworld froze to absolute zero, leaving Mother Dezarium unable to think anymore. Or maybe it’d be entertaining to experiment and see if Mother Dezarium could survive atmospheric reentry. Mother Dezarium has been doing whatever she wants all this time — there’s no way she’d survive a re-correction!! I want Mother Dezarium completely destroyed, and all the Dezarium people wiped out by the Hyper Dessler Cannon!!
I digressed, but even amidst all that, it’d be nice if Major Alphon, at least, could connect with the Earthlings and feel like his heart was saved before dying.
Everyone, be sure to watch Chapter 4!!

Mother Dezarium is utter garbage!!
See the original post here
Hearing that Kaoru Niimi developed a correction program for Mother Dezarium made my blood boil. I couldn’t accept that Mother Dezarium, who’s been so underhanded and doing whatever she wants, could be dealt with just by reprogramming her. She massacred 70% of the Garmillas people. She not only orchestrated the split between Garmillas and Earth, but even faked the Nanbu terrorist attacks. There’s no way reprogramming alone should suffice! Dessler, fire the Hyper Dessler Cannon and destroy it to smithereens, calling it trash!!
Dessler’s dream quotes:
“To celebrate the revival of the Garmillas Empire, I intend to show Dezarium the power of Garmillas. I’ll show you the thunder of the Hyper Dessler Cannon!!”
“The entire universe will once again bow down before Garmillas!!”
“Skaldart, your idiotic face truly disgusts me.”
“Look! Mother Dezarium looks like trash!! Ha ha ha!!”
“Next is Goruba!! Kneel!! Beg for your life!! Remove the Grand Reverse from Earth!!”
“I’ll give you three minutes!!”
I think Mother Dezarium should be done in like this. An ending where Mother Dezarium gets fixed by a patch and the Dezarians live happily ever after would make me sick. May Mother Dezarium be utterly destroyed, and may every single Dezarian perish in battle!!
My Proposed Punishment for Mother Dezarium #1: “The Punishment of Ceasing to Think”
First, abandon Mother Dezarium in outer space and blast it with air to freeze it solid. Let’s see if even Mother Dezarium will stop thinking if forced to wander the cosmos forever. Don’t you think this is a fitting punishment for Mother Dezarium, who only ever plots underhanded schemes?
My Proposed Punishment for Mother Dezarium: Part 2 “Atmospheric Re-entry Punishment”
Mother Dezarium thinks she’s hot stuff after occupying Earth, but Earthlings can reenter the atmosphere, so don’t underestimate us!!
Use the Hyper Dessler Cannon to annihilate the Dezarium fleet, including Goruba, and severely damage the Dezarium homeworld — just enough to leave it barely intact. Then, extract Mother Dezarium and force her to re-enter the atmosphere. Some guy who can’t even beat Etajima Heihachi trying to rule Earth? You’re a thousand years too early, you fool!! Seriously, if Etajima Heihachi were around, I kinda feel like he could beat Dezarium too. (Laughs)
I hate Kazan too. Since Dezarians are cyborgs, shouldn’t they be able to choose their faces freely? Then why does Kazan have such a hideously ugly face? He’s so arrogant, and that face is just physically repulsive.
Kodai loses Kazan, has his gun taken, and is beaten to a pulp. Battered and bruised, Kodai corners Kazan, demanding, “Give me back my gun!”
“It’s right here,” he says, pointing, then delivers a backhand blow to Kodai. Kodai is sent flying.
Someone enters the room. With a grip strength unimaginable for a human, they crush Kazan’s mechanical wrist.
Dessler: “Old man, give me some milk!!”
Dessler: “Well, have a drink!!”
Kazan: “Milk makes my body rust! Don’t make me!!”
The key point is that Kazan, despite having a machine body, is sweating bullets from fear.
Since Dezarium is so underhanded and doing whatever it wants, I want to see this much done!! The annihilation of the Goruba fleet with the Hyper Dessler Cannon and the complete destruction of Mother Dezarium are my deepest desires, so I hope they come true!!
Everyone, please watch 3199!!
