LEFT SIDE:
For those who once traveled to Iscandar as part of the Yamato crew, the long journey must surely be tinged with the feeling that they have finally reached this point. The latest remake REBEL 3199, which centers around Be Forever and incorporates elements from the TV series Yamato III, will conclude this autumn. Since Chapter 1, released in July 2024, it has been a long-running project spanning more than two years.
The year is 2207AD. Two years have passed since the incident in which the Gamilas home world and the planet Iscandar were annihilated. The story begins when a mysterious, gigantic object, the “Grand Reverse,” suddenly appears in the solar system. The turbulent stories that have unfolded in the worlds of Earth and Yamato are finally reaching their climax.
Sasha finds the reality she has always believed in crumbling, and loses even the evidence that she has lived. Alphon, too, reaches a terrifying conclusion after questioning his own existence. On Earth, the partisan fleet gathers as if guided by fate to resist the destruction brought about by the Hyperon Bomb Grand Reverse, which will reset all of humanity. And their trump card, the space battleship Arizona, takes to the skies. Meanwhile, Susumu Kodai, sitting in the captain’s chair of Yamato with a promise to Yuki Mori in his heart, plunges into the Dezarium home world in search of answers to numerous mysteries and the future of Earth.
