REBEL 3199 character guide, part 5

Dezarium

Alphon

Voice: Makoto Furukawa

Intelligence Officer
Rank: Major

Has a flexible and strong body. Despite his high fighting ability, his demeanor is always elegant and quiet. However, at times a flicker of intense emotion, uncharacteristic of Dezarium, flashes in his deep green eyes.

He is an intelligence officer of the Dezarium army that occupied and controls Earth. As “the man who holds the key,” his origins, purpose, and everything else is shrouded in mystery.

Chapter 2 update:

“Am I your enemy?”

He is in charge of the Far East region of Dezarium’s Earth occupation plan. He has been tasked with the special mission of tracking down the “Fragments of Iscandar,” and uses a spare body to travel freely between Earth and space. He lets Yuki Mori live in his official residence as she is “the key to the fragment,” but he does not treat her as a prisoner or even interrogate her. When Yuki asks why, Alphon replies, “I want your help.” But are his words, “to change the future together…” what Alphon really means?

Chapter 3 update:

“I met Kodai. He’s a strong man. Next time, I might kill him.”

He invades Yamato, abducts one of the fragments, “Sasha,” and sends her off somewhere. On the other hand, he tells Yuki Mori, who is living in his official residence, that Kodai is still alive, and manipulates her to kill him while he is asleep through mind transfer. What is the true intention of Alphon, who continues to take complex actions?

Chapter 4 update:

“Tonight is our last night together. Go back to your friends, Yuki.”

In a false flag bombing attack, he kills many Earth dignitaries, but also risks his own life to rescue children who were unable to escape. What is the true intention behind Alphon’s complex behavior?

Chapter 5 update:

“Kodai, don’t die. Do everything in your power to find a way to survive.”

A “non-standard” Dezarium with the ability to dream. His eyes reveal complex, human emotions.

While coldly carrying out fake terrorist attacks, he also rescues children caught up in them, sustaining serious injuries.

Hoping to “settle” with Susumu Kodai, his rival over Yuki Mori, he joins the defense of Digablas, but encounters Kodai inside the fortress. While working together, he witnesses Digablas’s “secret.” After the battle, Alphon informs Kodai that Yuki is alive and leaves, but a subsequent accident leaves him in a coma, unable to hear Mother Dezarium’s voice. As a result…

Isidore

Voice: Shun Horie

Alphon’s assistant
Rank: Second Lieutenant

A direct subordinate who swore absolute loyalty to Alphon. You must not let your guard down because of his boyish appearance and beautiful voice.

Chapter 2 update:

“What are you looking at? No matter how hard you look, you can’t see Yamato.”

Although he looks like a boy, he has been “tuned” for combat and his abilities are not to be underestimated.
He works without a break, preparing meals for Alphon, cleaning the official residence, and even trimming the gardens, but his most important job is to keep an eye on Yuki Mori.

Chapter 3 update:

“But on Major Alphon’s orders, I’m to answer all your questions.”

Chapter 4 update:

“Humans just don’t make sense.”

When Yuki leaves the official residence to visit Heroes’ Hill, Isidore keeps an eye on her. How did the sight of Yuki silently gazing up at the statue of Okita appear to a Dezarium, who has no concept of mourning the dead?

Chapter 5 update:

“Don’t try to stop me! This woman! Her companions killed my parents!”

When Yuki risks her life to synchronize with Alphon’s mind in order to save him from a severe coma, Isidore learns the power of human action that defies reason. However, when Yuki and Alphon wake up, Isidore is overcome with intense rage, as if he had become a different person. He attacks Yuki, claiming that Yamato has massacred his parents and tens of thousands of Dezarium people in Digablas. Why?

Ranbel

Voice: Takuya Eguchi

Captain of the Battleship Grodez
Rank: Lieutenant Commander

Other than the fact that he is Alphon’s “best friend,” everything about him is shrouded in mystery.

Chapter 2 update:

Yamato… I want more information. Information that smells of the people onboard.”

He continues to pursue Yamato in search of the “fragments of Iscandar.” Ranbel does not see combat as a “mission,” but as “an important opportunity to find fulfillment in life.” His qualities, unusual for a Dezarium, are further honed by his repeated battles with Yamato. Alphon and Maxim are his irreplaceable “best friends.”

Chapter 3 update:

“I don’t like how you’re forcing me to do the dirty work. ”

His qualities, unusual for a Dezarium, are further honed by his repeated battles with Yamato. On the other hand, the plan devised by Mother Dezarium was a plot aimed at isolating Yamato. All that’s left for Ranbel to do is watch Yamato‘s movements with increasing frustration.

Chapter 4 update:

“I’ll destroy the ships in the way and fish up Yamato.”

Determined to settle this, Ranbel’s blood boils as Yamato invades the Ganel Nebula. This is home to Digablas, whose existence Dezarium keeps hidden. To keep the secret and capture Yamato, Ranbel unleashes a capture field!

Chapter 5 update:

“When I feel like this, I need a weight. Tell Sleeping Beauty to come over here quickly.”

His qualities, unusual for a Dezarium, are likely due to the fact that, like Alphon, he was born a “non-standard” item. His blood boils as Yamato finally invades the Ganel Nebula after repeated battles, and he trembles as he defends Digablas, Dezarium’s key base. In order to meet the expectations of Commander Rigaldo, who commands Digablas, Ranbel uses his own body as a shield to defend the fortress.

Skaldart

(alt spelling: Skulldart)
Voice: Naoya Uchida

Dezarium’s Holy Leader

The man who commands the Dezarium army under the title of “Holy Leader.” He quietly looks down on Earth, which was occupied overnight, from the automated planet Goruba. Unlike other Dezarium, his appearance closely resembles that of Earth’s humans.

Chapter 2 update:

“Let us start over! Let us erase this future of destruction, by working together!”

The man who rules over Dezarium under the name of “Holy Leader.” He watches the trends of humanity from the “Thalamus Chamber” on the Grand Reverse, that stands on the outskirts of the new capital. Although he closely resembles an Earthling, this appearance is only a “diplomatic appearance” and his true form is different. Skaldart always behaves thoughtfully as the representative of Dezarium and calls on Earthlings to cooperate, but what is his true purpose…?

Chapter 3 update:

“If history is changed, we will disappear. As will our home planet.”

“When we have achieved our goal and are able to correct the future that will lead to destruction, Dezarium will lose its existence and disappear. That is our wish,” says Skaldart, and people are fascinated by his words, but…

Chapter 4 update:

“Where everyone shares in hardship equally, shares in sorrows and joys…that is what will make a society where everyone can be sympathetic and compassionate toward one another.”

But behind these captivating words lurks a demonic intention to rewrite the consciousness of society as a whole. The terrorist bombing of the Ageha Art Museum by partisans is a false flag operation orchestrated by the Dezarium Intelligence Department. Hiding this fact, Skaldart continues to speak out to this day, pretending to be the victim. His words resonate across the globe, eventually leading people’s hearts to something else.

Chapter 5 update:

“More than freedom, humans seek the security of being part of a greater being. This is a pattern repeated countless times in history.”

The partisan bombing of the Ageha Museum. The massacre of Digablas by Yamato. The Grand Reverse attack, orchestrated by the aircraft carrier Hyuga and involving the new capital. All of these are false flag operations orchestrated by Dezarium. Despite this, people accept fiction as truth and confuse friend with foe. Skaldart watches the shifting hearts of Earthlings with a sneer.

Sada

(alt spelling: Sarda)
Voice: Marina Inoue

Aide to the Holy Leader

An excellent assistant to Holy Leader Skaldart. She calmly fulfills her assigned role in order to realize Dezarium’s goals.

Chapter 2 update:

“I had thought that perhaps the intervention of someone who had synchronized with the Cosmo Reverse, even if only for a moment, would be sufficient.”

She takes over Ginga, which is stranded on the moon, and attempts to control the products of Iscandar civilization through Megumi Kanzaki, who is in tune with the Cosmo Reverse.

Chapter 3 update:

“We knew they would hate us…when we came to this universe.”

An excellent assistant to Holy Leader Skaldart. A beautiful witch who calmly fulfills her assigned role in order to achieve her goals. A suicide bombing by a Garmillas sparks the smoldering hatred of Garmillans among Earthlings.

Chapter 4 update:

She is in charge of negotiating with important figures in global politics and business, and was seen getting along well with them at the social party held at the Ageha Art Museum. In the first act, which showcases “the first music created by Dezarium, which has lost its culture,” she plays the first violin as part of a string quartet. She plays avant-garde music, but is killed in a terrorist bombing by partisans.

Chapter 5 update:

A beautiful Dezarium whom Mother Dezarium calls “my other self.”

As an aide to the Holy Leader, she was solely responsible for negotiating with Earth’s VIPs, but was killed in the terrorist bombing of the Ageha Museum. As “the most well-known Dezarium”, Sada’s death sent shock waves through Earth society, leading to increased criticism of the partisans who carried out the terrorist attack.

However, this incident was a staged terrorist attack orchestrated by the Dezarium Intelligence Department, and Sada’s death was also part of a pre-planned program. As if to prove this, a “new Sada” is born at the core of Mother Dezarium.

Kazan

Voice: Yutaka Aoyama

Commander-in-Chief of the 2207 Earth Occupation Forces
Rank: General

The commander of Dezarium is the epitome of polite rudeness. He pushes ahead with the Earth occupation plan according to the timeline. Currently, he is obsessed with obtaining the “fragments of Iscandar” in order to complete the Grand Reverse. He is often in charge of negotiations with important figures such as Director Todo and Ambassador Varel.

Chapter 4 update:

“We needed to repeat it. We had to teach our past selves about the connection point.”

He revealed information that had been kept secret until then to Heikurou Todo and others who had become advisors to the defense forces, saying, “We learned of the existence of the space-time node when the ship carrying Sasha drifted ashore in the space-time of 3184 AD.”

Chapter 5 update:

“Fire, Captain Kitano. You have to deal with your own messes. That’s the human way, right?”

Kazan looks down on humans before they evolved into Homo Dezarium, treating them like monkeys, and does not consider “collaborators” like Shinobu Todo and Seiya Kitano to be trustworthy at all. He watches with a grin on his face, wondering whether Seiya Kitano will be able to “destroy” the aircraft carrier Hyuga upon its return from the Galman star system as ordered.

Bresol

Voice: Susumu Akagi

Technical Officer
Rank: Colonel

A technical officer skilled in phase energy technology. Utilizing Megumi Kanzaki as a biodevice, he attempts to control Ginga‘s Cosmo Reverse.

Chapter 5 update:

He is shaken by the disappearance of Digablas, the source of phase energy needed by the Earth Occupation Forces, and is admonished by Mother Dezarium. Ordered to quickly restore the Cosmo Reverse aboard Ginga, Bresol summons the key specimen – Megumi Kanzaki – to the moon and activates her as a biological device.

Mother Dezarium

Voice: Keiko Han

The pinnacle of Dezarium. She never appears, but speaks to all Dezarium citizens with a voice full of dignity and compassion.

Chapter 3 update:

Chapter 4 update:

“You must not let them approach Digablas.”

The pinnacle of Dezarium, who is promoting the ambitious plan to “redo the future from the past.” She never appears, but speaks to all Dezarium citizens with a voice full of dignity and compassion. Sasha testifies that Mother Dezarium is an artificial being that has been given full authority to preserve her species, and that it is possible to reprogram her.

Chapter 5 update:

“Listen to my voice and change what needs to be changed. For the sake of Dezarium’s thousand-year-old dream.”

Her voice, which flows through the Commedal, affects the mental data of each Dezarian, allowing her to infinitely rewrite memories.

Maxim

Voice: Tokuyoshi Kawashima

Dezarium Civilian

He is one of the citizens of Dezarium who settles on Earth based on the Occupation Plan. He is not a soldier but a civilian engineer, and a gentle person. He is raising the larvae (Fleur) he was given as a pseudo-family. He has been “best friends” with Alphon and Ranbel since childhood.

Chapter 3 update:

“If something’s pretty, take your time and admire it repeatedly. You’ll see things you wouldn’t otherwise see.”

He shows Fleur the sea sparkling in the morning glow and teaches her, “You should always look at beautiful things over and over again.” He has been “best friends” with Alphon and Ranbel since childhood, and it seems that there is a deep experience that only the three of them share.

Chapter 4 update:

“If the future can be restored, we will disappear.”

He says his role is to collect cultural artifacts from a thousand years ago and fill in the gaps of lost history, but in fact he is also an accomplice in Alphon’s false flag operation. Maxim himself has no hesitation in getting his hands dirty, but would rather not involve Fleur if possible. Perhaps this personal contradiction is due to his origins as an “unconventional Dezarium who is too influenced by his emotions.”

Chapter 5 update:

“Alphon, in particular, dreams. A realm of brainwaves impossible for us, who only have on and off states. Judging from the waveforms, it’s highly likely his mind is trapped there.”

He worries about Alphon, whose mind remains trapped in the dream realm.

His gentle side, as he shows Fleur the ocean at sunrise and teaches her, “You should look at beautiful things over and over again,” perhaps reflects his true nature.

Fleur

Voice: Hitomi Isaka

Dezarium citizen

She looks exactly like a human child. Dezarium children are born with brains created from randomly combined genes transplanted into artificial bodies. The children are given a pseudo-family and grow up through “human” experiences both physically and mentally. Maxim plays the role of her “father.”

Chapter 3 update:

“Is this where you say thank you?”

One of the Dezarium citizens who settled in the Earth occupation plan. Although her body is artificial, she looks exactly like a human child. In the new capital alone, 800 Dezarium children have been transferred to Earth’s elementary and junior high schools, and Fleur appears before Tsubasa Kato and his colleagues as a first-year student at Ichigyo Elementary School. She has not lived long enough to nurture evil, so in a sense she is very honest. She accepts everything as it is, and learns about the subtleties of human nature through her interactions with Tsubasa.

Chapter 4 update:

“Tsubasa. Why don’t you cry?”

The short trip to the temple in Hokkaido run by Tsubasa’s grandfather was a truly profound experience for Fleur.

Rigaldo

Voice: Daisuke Egawa

Commander of the Intermediate Supply Base, Earth-2207 Occupation Forces
Rank: Lieutenant General

A veteran warrior whose name is well known within the Dezarium military. He serves as commander of Digablas, a phase energy supply base located within the Ganel Nebula. Leading 20,000 soldiers and in charge of energy supplies to forces deployed within the Earth Sphere, Rigaldo’s command is truly majestic, even captivating Captain Ranbel of the Grodez, who has arrived to provide reinforcements. But his true identity is…
