REBEL 3199 Chapter 5 Trailer Released

See the original post here

The trailer for Chapter 5 was released on Friday, wasn’t it? I had high expectations for Chapter 5, but it’s even better than I expected!! I thought 2205 was a perfect 100-point work, but 3199 is so good it deserves 300 points.

It utilizes the good points of the old series while creating a work that fans who were children back then can still be enthusiastic about even in their 50s and 60s. 2199 was a complete failure because it altered parts of the old series that shouldn’t have been changed, but 3199 is fundamentally different because it utilizes the old series while incorporating ideal plot developments!!

Now, let me write about my impressions of the trailer.

Although it was only 31 seconds long, it was incredibly packed with content. It started with a scene of the combined fleet of Earth and the Garmillas Empire attacking Goruba with a simultaneous barrage of Wave-Motion Guns and Dessler Cannons. I watched The New Voyage when I was in second grade, and as a Dessler fan, I felt humiliated that the Garmillas fleet was unilaterally defeated by the Dark Nebula Empire. In particular, the fact that the Dessler Cannon was completely ineffective against Goruba and was mocked as “energy bullets like pebbles” was an unbearable humiliation.

When Zespaze, which was resistant to the Dessler Cannon like Goruba, was destroyed by the Hyper Dessler Cannon in Yamato III, I sincerely wished I could have seen a scene where Goruba was destroyed by this cannon. Ultimately, since both Goruba and the intermediate base will likely be destroyed in 3199, my long-cherished wish will finally be fulfilled after 46 years.

I am truly grateful to the staff for not having Yamato destroy these alone, but for including the Galman-Garmillas fleet. The 3199 staff are the best!!

In the scene where the Dessler Cannon is fired, a [Shalbart class] large battleship painted green also appears. I thought all the large battleships would be gold, but only the first one seemed to be gold-ish. From the fact that the large battleship that appeared was gold and could even fire the Dessler Cannon, I thought that Galman-Gamilas Empire ships such as the twin-deck three-tiered carrier, battleships, Dessler gunships, medium-sized battleships, and destroyers would not appear in 3199, but the appearance of the green-painted large battleship gave me hope.

I like the Galman-Gamilas Empire ships the most among the Yamato ships, so I really want them to appear. Also, I want the new Dessler ship to follow the design of the original series, like the Deusula III. I don’t want them to create an original design just for the sake of the remake staff’s ego, like with the Deusula. The Deusula‘s design is significantly different from other Garmillas ships, and I only felt a sense of incongruity from it.

Next, Chairman Bemlayze and Daria holding a gun are shown. My guess is that since the Bolar Federation and the Galman-Garmillas Empire are at odds, and this would only benefit the Dezarium, Ram goes to the Bolar Federation alone and negotiates directly with Chairman Bemlayze, proposing a joint effort against the Dezarium with Earth and the Galman-Garmillas Empire.

I’m a big fan of Chairman Bemlayze, who looks so cool in 3199, and I’m also a huge fan of Daria, so I really hope the Bolar Federation will cooperate with Earth and the Galman-Garmillas Empire, and that both of them survive. It would be incredibly exciting to see Dagon on board the Deusula III, fighting alongside the Yamato. And with the confrontation between Kodai and Major Alphon, it’s even more exciting!!

I’m really looking forward to it!!

Will Galman-Gamilas Empire ships not appear?

See the original post here

In Chapter 4, the Shalbart-class space battleship appeared, which corresponds to the large battleship from Yamato III. It’s an Iscandar-made battleship, and the paint job has changed to gold. In the teaser for Chapter 5, a green Shalbart-class space battleship, seemingly a Galman-Garmillas ship, also appears.

However, since the Shalbart-class space battleship was not independently developed by Galman-Garmillas, the possibility of the appearance of the twin-deck carrier, aircraft carrier, Dessler gunship, medium-sized battleship, and destroyer has gone down. I want to see the Galman-Gamilas ships with their current cool designs, especially the aircraft carrier. The coloring is the best, so I want to see that alone!! Furthermore, I’d like them to redesign the combat carrier so that the deck rotates and turrets and other weapons emerge.

And, like in 2199 and 2202, the new Dessler ship might be given an original design, like the Deusula or Neu Deusula, due to the staff’s desire to leave their mark. I liked the Garmillas Empire’s ships the most among all the mecha in Yamato, so I would be truly disappointed if that happened…

Unlike 2199, 3199 has the potential to become a great work with good changes, so if they include more Garmillas ships and a scene where the Hyper Dessler Cannon annihilates the Goruba fleet, I think it could surpass even the original series. Especially since the Deusula‘s design is so obviously different from other Garmillas ships, and I only felt a sense of incongruity, I really want them to at least include a new Dessler ship.

Everyone, please watch 3199!!

What will happen to the Bolar Federation?

See the original post here

The Bolar Federation is unilaterally defeated by the Dezarium fleet near Earth, and while facing serious cooling in the galactic center and near Dezarium’s intermediate base, they are constantly engaged in war with the Garmillas Empire.

In the teaser for Chapter 5, Ram seemed to be pleading about something, and I predict that he’s directly appealing to Chairman Bemlayze to stop the war with the Galman-Garmillas Empire. Personally, I hope Chairman Bemlayze accepts this suggestion and forms a three-nation alliance between Earth, the Galman-Garmillas Empire, and the Bolar Federation to fight together against the hated Dezarium.

However, judging from the title of Chapter 5, The Incandescent Galactic War, a full-scale war between the Bolar Federation and the Galman-Garmillas Empire seems unavoidable. If they calmly consider their national interests, they should prioritize eliminating Dezarium, the greatest threat, so a war with the Galman-Garmillas Empire shouldn’t even be a consideration.

I wonder if in 3199, Bemlayze will ultimately appear in the Zespaze and be defeated by the Hyper Dessler Cannon, just like in Yamato III. There, Prime Minister Bemlayze was treated as a minor character in terms of design, but in 3199, he has a dignified and cool appearance like Al Capone, so it would be a shame to kill him off.
I have a pathological fondness for beautiful women with eye patches, so it would also be a shame to kill off Daria.

My pen name is written as “Hoshirei” but pronounced “Stalin,” so you can tell I’m a big fan of the Soviet Union. Therefore, I hope that the more Soviet-esque Chairman Bemlayze and the Bolar Federation will survive by fighting alongside the Galman-Garmillas Empire.

Of course, they could just blame Governor Boroze, saying he “acted unilaterally without permission from Chairman Bemlayze, carrying out oppressive rule on the Galman homeworld and treating President Dessler disrespectfully,” and then hand him over to the Galman-Garmillas Empire for public execution. That would be very Soviet-like, wouldn’t it? (Laughs)

Also, I think the black hole cannon mounted on the Zespaze will be incredibly effective against Goruba. Even if Goruba has phase-shifting armor, if it’s dragged into a black hole cannon, it should be crushed flat by the black hole’s gravity. The Dezarium also looks down on the Bolar Federation, considering them weaklings, so I hope the Bolar Federation will give the Dezarium a taste of their own medicine!!

Everyone, please watch 3199!!

The Battle with the Intermediate Supply Base Digabelas

See the original post here

The climax of Chapter 5 of 3199 will undoubtedly be the battle with Digabelas, the Dezarium intermediate supply base. It looks so large that even Goruba seems small in comparison, so its total length is probably over 100 kilometers.

Up until now, Dezarium has been doing whatever it wants politically and militarily, so it’s really great that the combined forces of Earth and the Galman-Gamiras Empire will finally strike back against them.

In 3199, it seems that physical attacks are effective against Goruba after the Dessler Cannon and Wave-Motion Gun are fired. So, even if the trailer shows the Dessler Cannon and Wave-Motion Gun being deflected by Goruba’s phase-shifting armor, the strategy is probably to damage Goruba with subsequent missile attacks, while simultaneously sending dimensional submarines, Shalbart-class battleships, and Cosmo Tigers into attack range, such as inside Digabelas.

I’ve been watching anime since I was in elementary school, but Dezarium is such a cunning enemy that it doesn’t seem like an anime villain; they act like real-world enemies.

Chapter 5 will likely focus on the battle against the intermediate supply base, so a full-scale fleet battle between the Galman-Garmillas Empire and the Bolar Federation might not be depicted. The Galman-Garmillas Empire, being outnumbered, has to dedicate most of its forces to the fight against the Bolar Federation, so they can probably only send four Shalbart-class battleships, a few dimensional submarines, and a few dozen Garmillas ships to the battle against Digabelas.

However, even the Bolar Federation is facing the threat of Dezarium in the center of the galaxy, so I wonder if they should really be engaging in a full-scale war with the Galman-Garmillas Empire. They keep saying things like “there’s no precedent,” but for the Bolar Federation, the greatest threat should be Dezarium, and in fact, Boroze’s fleet was instantly annihilated by Dezarium.

Unless they’ve allied with Dezarium to destroy the Galman-Garmillas Empire, I think it would be better to temporarily cease hostilities with Galman-Garmillas and focus on countermeasures against Dezarium. I think it would be best if Ram persuaded Chairman Bemlayze to cooperate with Earth, the Galman-Garmillas Empire, and the Bolar Federation to counter Dezarium, but that probably won’t happen…

I’m really looking forward to the release of Chapter 5!! I hope everyone will watch 3199!!
