Deusula III Special First-class Aerospace Combat Carrier

Combining the characteristics of a battleship and an aircraft carrier, Deusula III is an airborne battlecruiser capable of independent combat operations, and a special first-class ship that was given the function of commanding the fleet.

Like the Gelvades-class Astro Combat Carriers that were commissioned as space combat carriers during the Great Garmillas Empire era, it is equipped with a rotating deck, and the underside of the flight deck is used as the gunnery deck. A Dessler gun (Wave-Motion Gun/Gesh Darbam) is mounted on the rotating deck, and the bow is equipped with a matter transporter. In addition, a Geshtam Wall (wave barrier), developed with technical cooperation from Earth, was adopted.

It was deployed as Dessler’s flagship in the operation to seize the planet Galman, and after the destruction of Planet Garmillas, it confronted the Dezarium fleet as the flagship of the Garmillan fleet together with the Yamato fleet.

Deusula III is the only ship in the Galman-Garmillas Space Fleet equipped with the Dessler Gun. For this reason, it is dispatched to various locations as the flagship of the strike fleet to make use of the firepower of the Dessler Gun.

Talan had previously requested Dessler to repaint the Deusula III in “Noble Blue,” but Dessler ordered that it remain in the red paint color used for test ships during the time of the Great Garmillas Empire. This decision is said to have been made in consideration of the current situation in which the Deusula III has been relieved of its duties as Dessler’s flagship and has become the flagship of the strike fleet.

Gaipellon-class Multi-deck Space Carrier Lambea with Heavy Arms Unit

The Gaipellon-class Multi-deck Space Carrier Lambea, which was deployed in the Battle of the Rainbow Star Cluster as one of the ships of the Domel Mobile Force, underwent long-term maintenance and repairs on the Garmillan home planet, and was used as a testbed for a new type of unit called the “Heavy Arms Unit.”

After the liberation of Planet Galman, it returned to the Salezar star system as one of the ships of the advance fleet to escort an emigration fleet. There, it encountered and engaged in battle with Dezarium, which was plotting to seize Iscandar.

Since the captain, Colonel Lutan Bester, was killed in action during the Battle of the Rainbow Star Cluster, Lieutenant Commander Fomto Berger took command until the return to the home planet. He commanded the Andromeda-class vanguard armament spaceship aircraft carrier type Neu Balgrey as captain during the Gatlantis campaign, and then became the captain of Lambea after its repairs were completed, a position he holds to this day. It is currently used as a squadron-sized fleet flagship in the space fleet responsible for the defense of the Galman system.

The Gaipellon-class Multi-deck Space Carrier originally had a hangar occupying most of the hull, making the living space extremely small. This meant that it was not possible to maintain the activities of a personnel equal to the number of aircraft carried for long periods of time. However, Lambea has been fitted with the heavy arms unit, which has expanded the living space, eliminating the need for aircraft crew to be stationed on escort ships, allowing for flexible fleet organization.

With this in mind, Lambea is often deployed in operations outside the Galman system or on its outer edges, and it was during these times that Sasha Iscandar was discovered.

Dimensional Submarine UX-01

A special combat vessel capable of freely traveling between normal space (α-space) and subspace (β-space). Developed during the era of the Great Garmillas Empire, it was initially used as a special vessel under the direct command of President Dessler. After the Garmillas War ended, several ships of the same model were constructed and deployed in the Battle of Gatlantis, transporting Yamato through subspace to the interior of the Gatlantis Empire during the final battle.

Furthermore, during the Iscandar Incident, it played a role in escorting the Garmillan immigrant fleet that had taken refuge on Iscandar through subspace.

For navigation in normal space, like other Garmillas vessels, it uses the Geshtam engine. During dimensional submersion, it switches to the Gesh-Val engine, which adjusts the density of the wave energy fluid in the multidimensional phase ballast tank to control the stability of the dimensional boundary around the hull and adjust the diving depth.

Garmillas, which relocated its base to the Sagittarius Dwarf Galaxy and founded the nation of Galman-Garmillas, has lost much of its fleet strength in the Large Magellanic Galaxy and is currently reorganizing its fleet. With the formation of a dimensional submarine fleet positioned as the core of Galman-Garmillas’ new strategy, the Dimensional Submarine UX-01 is being constructed and commissioned as a subordinate vessel of the Zerandal-class dimensional attack submarine.

Zerandal-class dimensional attack submarine Zerandal

Zerandal is a dimensional attack submarine built under the Garmillan Army’s dimensional submarine fleet concept. It has a hull length of over 200m, much larger than the UX-01, and is equipped with a sturdy hull and a high-output Gesh-Val engine. This allows Zerandal to navigate deeper than previous subspace depths.

In addition, the fleet command function, which was insufficient with the previous UX-01, has been improved, making it fully operable as the flagship of the dimensional submarine fleet.

The Garmillan Army, which moved its base to the Sagittarius Dwarf Galaxy and became the Galman-Garmillas Army, lost much of the fleet power it had in the Large Magellanic Cloud, and was forced to reorganize. With the loss of many colonies, production capacity dropped significantly, and construction plans for new ships had to be carefully selected based on strategic essentials.

The dimensional submarine fleet formed by the UX-01 was deployed in combat toward the end of the Gatlantis War, and thereafter achieved great success in missions such as the operation to seize the planet Galman and the operation to help emigration ships escape from Iscandar. The tactical effectiveness of dimensional submarines capable of infiltrating enemy territory through subspace was proven in these operations, but Galman-Garmillas took this a step further and planned to use them strategically.

Forming a dimensional submarine fleet with attack power and subspace navigation capabilities equal to or greater than the UX-01 was considered the top priority of the Galman-Garmillas military’s fleet strategy, and many of the construction slots for new ships were allocated to dimensional submarines.

The propulsion system is larger than the UX-01, with ring-shaped contra-rotating thrusters. It also has a sub-nozzle at the rear. Various thrusters for attitude control are installed, as well as deep-water thrusters capable of attitude control in the high dimensional pressure of subspace.

Destria-class Heavy Space Cruiser

The Destria-class heavy space cruiser was the main warship responsible for the expansion of the Great Garmillas Empire, but even now, after the founding of Galman-Garmillas, it remains the core of the fleet’s fighting power.

It has characteristics and basic equipment common to many Garmillan ships, such as a hull with excellent bullet-proofing, special magnetization processing (Migobueza Coating), and equipment such as positron beam cannons and torpedoes. Although it is classified as a “second class armored spaceship” by Garmillas, it is sometimes operated as a flagship in small fleets. Until the commissioning of Yamato, Earth did not have a 300m-class ship, so during the Garmillas War, it was recognized as a “battleship” by the Earth side.

However, most of the Destria-class heavy space cruisers used by Garmillas are not newly built, but are from the era of the Great Garmillas Empire. With the collapse of the First Dessler Regime, many of the colonies in the Large Magellanic Galaxy under the control of the Great Garmillas Empire left and moved toward independence. This trend accelerated with the disappearance of Garmillas, but considering the defensive strength against the Bolar Federation, which was trying to recapture the Galman system, Galman-Garmillas had no choice but to approve their independence, as they could not afford to send a fleet to the colonies. All Galman-Garmillas could do was to call together the fleet forces that had been sent to various areas (along with Garmillans and people loyal to Garmillas). However, not all of them reached the Sagittarius Dwarf Galaxy, and it was not possible to defend Galman with the same military strength as the Great Garmillas Empire.

Unlike Earth and Garmillas, they name their star systems after the planets that are central to their political and cultural life, rather than the stars that are the center of their orbits (from the Bolar perspective, the “solar system” is technically the “Earth system”).

Space Carrier Attack Aircraft DMB87 Snuka

The Snuka was originally a dive bomber that performed well in atmosphere, but was modified to be operable from a space carrier. It was mainly used to attack enemy ships from directly above and below, but with the deployment of heavy fighters and the increased production of space torpedo boats, it was mainly deployed in border areas.

It is equipped with air-to-ship missiles and space bombs under the wings, and a ball-mounted remote-controlled anti-aircraft turret for defense. The crew consists of a pilot and a bombardier, with the bombardier in the back seat also serving as the anti-aircraft turret gunner.

When Lambea was deployed in the Battle of the Rainbow Star Cluster as one of the ships of the Domel Mobile Force, this aircraft was carried on board and a surprise attack was launched on Yamato. At that time, Major Fomto Berger, the current captain of Lambea, piloted this aircraft and commanded the ship’s attack force.

After that, Lambea underwent long-term maintenance and repair and was equipped with a heavy armament unit. The number of aircraft on board was reduced, but it continues to carry this aircraft to this day. This is said to be because Berger himself is familiar with the craft and finds it easy to operate.

The Snuka is also installed and used on the special first-class space battleship Deusula III. Unlike Berger’s reason for having the aircraft aboard Lambea, in the case of Deusula III, its because Galman-Garmillas currently does not have enough heavy fighters or torpedo boats to replace them.

The coloring is based on the national defense color (dark green) of the machines assigned to the mainland air defense unit and front-line bases during the Great Garmillas Empire era, but the camouflage color is different.

Shalbart-class Space Battleship

After the Garmillans settled on planet Galman, over 100 space battleships left behind by the ancient Iscandarians were discovered in various locations, including sacred sites accessible only to priests. These were named the Shalbart-class space battleships, after a saint revered by the Galmans.

Their main engines are Wave-Motion Engines (Geshtam engines). Although loaded with a Garmillan-made wave core, they failed to activate. They finally became operational after reacting to Yamato‘s genuine Iscandar wave core.

While equipped with a Wave-Motion Gun on the bow, the crystal thrusters mounted throughout the hull are products of the ancient Iscandar civilization, and many aspects of their fundamental structure remain unknown.
